Gary, Please remember that Dixie is now with God. She is receiving His Blessings that she earned in her lifetime. I am so sorry for your devastating loss. She is not gone from you, she is just patiently and happily awaiting your arrival when your time comes! Cling to your faith. Prayers sent for you!

Dave, I am very green with envy. That configuration is exactly what I am saving for. Since retirement brought home a new reality, it will take a bit! Please keep us informed with range pictures and update. I have to enjoy the .475L vicariously for a while yet.

When it come to sixguns, good leather, and custom grips, patience is a pain!

Sorry to continue bringing this topic up. I wonder if someone "in the know" can post instructions on ordering this book as soon as a publishing date is announced. I believe with all of the interest indicated here, that Forum Members be given "fist shot" at purchasing one, or more, copies!

I love my Bisley Blackhawk .45 Colt. Like Mr.44guru, I often find myself moving toward my mid frame Blackhawk .44 Special. especially for longer shooting sessions. It is a delightful revolver that is easier on my aging wrist and ears. For trail carry, I defer to my.45, and I find the weight difference negligible. Back on topic- I really want a Bisley .480 in 4 5/8", but I've decided to await the opportunity to shoot one before I commit.

I have been looking for one of these for 2 years, and have yet to see one on Gunbroker or any area gun store.

Might I suggest building your own . Leather work is fun and very satisfying. A trip to a Tandy Leather store will get you all the tools and leather you will need. A clean cardboard box will provide the template materials. I wear holsters I built myself 7 days a week and have great satisfaction in them. If I was a more detail oriented person my leather works would look as good as any that can be bought. As it is. They look ok and work perfectly. With all due respect Sir, sometimes that is not an option. I tried to get into leather crafting. Bought a bunch of tools, spent a lot of money. Watched a lot of YouTube, and read a lot of books. In the final analysis, I don't have the artistic talent. I too. have to purchase my gun leather. I admire those who can make them, but in the long run it is more advantageous for me to "hire out" my leather needs. Besides, I would not want to see Rob Leahy and Doc Barranti to starve

The 'Flat-Top', .44 special, blue, 5.5" Bisley is a real winner! Sheriff, I got a quote on that exact gun but w/the 4 5/8" barrel this weekend at a LGS...$555 + tax (5% since they're outside city limits!), sounded like a decent price to me I got lucky and found one in a pawn shop-99% for $399. (Not for Sale).

I don't believe so. I am sure Mr. Taffin is more anxious than we are. I can wait, it just adds to the excitement! I pray that ordering details are announced when the release date is posted. It will be a joy to thank John and tell him how much I appreciate his work!!

What a nice gesture, Craig. I don't wear ball caps either, but I applaud your generosity! Merry Christmas to you!
