I’m always glad to see companies respond to the needs of shooters.

I have been looking for one of these for 2 years, and have yet to see one on Gunbroker or any area gun store.

Many of us have no use for the anemic, antiquated .44 W.C.F., but are better served by the potent .45 Colt.. My complaint about this "new" gun is that it doesn't appear to be offered with a proper 7 1/2" barrel...

I put an 1860 frame on my first SAA clone in 1983. I've always wondered why no one else did this.

My only beef with that longer grip frame is that, with a single action revolver, I've trained myself to dangle my pinky finger underneath the grips, and with the longer grip it makes the hold too low with respect to the bore axis. These grips are meant to be held with all four fingers on the grip, and I'm just not used to that with a single action. I experience the same situation with my Ruger Super Blackhawk.
I know some guys swear by the longer grip frame, though.

The very first Uberti Cattleman I ever had, ca. 1975 or so, had the longer grip on the .44 Magnum version. This grip also had an indentation in the butt to accommodate a shoulder stock. Trigger guard and backstrap were both of brass.
