Tim with a stainless gun…. It just seems wrong. Mine’s not rare or desirable. It’s just plain ugly! But it’s working out pretty well for blasting pesky beavers tearing up my pond. Tim

About 3 weeks ago I had the opportunity to do some hunting near Kenedy TX with a friend of mine. I was able to take this buck at 25 yards near a pond in a mesquite thicket with my Hoyt bow. Being ground level with this 5 1/2 yr old buck at close range was pretty exciting. It took several minutes for him to get clear of enough mesquite and prickly pear to allow a quartering away shot between the last two ribs. He was out of sight as soon as the arrow hit. He went about 30 yds, making a quick recovery. It took an hour to get all the cactus spines out of him after his mad dash after the shot. Everything in south Texas has a spine or a thorn. He rough scored about 165 beating my previous archery best of 152.

John L. called me today and gave me the name of a client of his that has a couple of unfired 500’s (4 3/4” & 5 1/2”) built 10-12 years ago that are looking for new homes. PM me if you would like the contact. John said he is currently 2 yrs behind, not taking on new work, and a new one would cost $6K.

According to the serial number it started out as a Ruger 45 Colt shipped in 2006.

No problem…it’s all fair. But, I do wonder if folks don’t think many have saved searches set up for such things. Checking them is part of my early morning ritual. I even beat Eskimo to the first bid on this one and he gets up EARLY! Just a placeholder bid for now. I knew it was legit when you were first Greg.

I am looking for a 6mm Creedmoor in a LH bolt action to buy before I build one on a LH 700 action. I have one in a Blaser R8 but I want another. And yes I already have a fast twist 243.
If you see something besides the Savage Precision I’d appreciate a heads up.
Thanks guys.

I carry a Ruger BH 45 Colt and a Glock 23 in the truck and a Glock 27 in my pocket when I feel the need arises. I travel pipelines alone and a single action in your hand when opening a gate in the mesquite of south Texas keeps the illegals in the trees. Did I forget to mention the 10” AR 300 blackout with an RMR under the seat?
You never know what you run up against.

I think Ryan Ross was looking for one of these.

Anyone remember Weatherbys and the Bank of Boulder? There is still a place in Stuttgart AR, I think, that gives a shotgun with an engagement ring.

There’s no catch if you don’t go. His prices are good. I watch his left hand bolts as he lists more than most.

I have a KTM 390 Adventure. It’s a go down any road kind of bike. Second picture was on Skyline Drive in Virginia last year.

It has a 1958 ( if it started as a 357) or 1959 (if it started as a 44) serial number and it doesn’t have a SBH hammer. First Stainless Blackhawk was 1974, I think…
So many things not right with that gun…
