Nothing special. Just last in the Ruger line.

To me it’s like the emissions laws(Paris accord), it doesn’t matter what we do as a country if the rest of the world makes no efforts to control it. Ivory is still getting harvested and sold, just not to us.

I look at it more as a diamond in the rough, another mans name on it, not marked like the Cody guns are now, long barrel is not as popular, no grip work. That being said I’m sure it’s bank vault tight and is an excellent shooter.
On second look, it appears to have some grip shaping done.

The easy thing to do is pick up a BFR in 500JRH, 475 Linebaugh or 454 and go to shooting. Great guns, reasonable price, choice of grip style, choice of barrel length, scope ready, and no waiting. They all have their particular virtues

I had my LGS get me one. I’m thinking I will swap the the hammer for a blue one, get an action job, LSCG grips and a Bowen sight. It’s a beautiful gun. At least Ruger and Jason are trying.

If we are going to language origin ... chili con carne = chili with meat Chili is a pepper, red or green. Peppers with meat. Beans are frijoles.

Real chili doesn’t have beans in it. You can eat it with beans but it’s an all meat thing. At least that’s what they tell you in Texas.

They are stainless receivers and sold locally to a forum member here before I could get them listed.

I just traded for one of these 6” 57’s and it’s sitting at my FFL in Oklahoma waiting on me. I’m anxious to pick it up. It will be my first double action.

Are y’all sure Ruger did these good things they haven’t done in other guns or maybe it was Turnbull? I haven’t put my hands on one yet. I’m just thinking out loud.

I am too Robb. I shoot left handed, gun and bow. I can’t do anything else left handed.
