Nope, mine was built by Hamilton. I have always believed it was the gun S&W should have made, although, honestly, the only market would be the people on this forum!

Hey kids...haven't posted in a while, but I wanted to let you know that in conjunction with the CAMEO Shooting Center in Grand Junction and NRL Hunter, we're putting together a match for 21 July at Cameo. Big bore...,40 and above...single or double action revolvers or semis...on the majority of stages you'll have to find, range and engage steel targets from 25-200 yards...irons, dots, scopes, shooters' choice. There will be a 50-yard standards and a stage with charging targets. Expect fun and challenging, Power factor of 200 with a bonus for a 300 and above power factor. Not sure on entry fees....we're talking to sponsors now, and for a first year we'd prefer all invitational and free, but we'll see.. If we go that direction, know that Mr Prasac is grandfathered in and Mr Martin will receive several slots to allocate as he sees fit as a thanks for these forums.
Also, PLEASE don't yell at me about .357s!

Am setting up one of the 5-inch 10mms for ICORE competition, so th anks for the tip on the Ranch Products moon clips! Trigger's not bad, but I'll be fiddling with the springs. I've thought about the TK moons specifically for .40 in the GP...

He did an amazing job tuning my brace of Taylors' 1860 Open Top conversions in .44 Russian. Those things were a mess when I got them on a close-out from Taylors, and Jeff did a superb job.

Quick reply...de rounds depended on de pig. Did a nice clean heart shot on a big sow, and she dropped like her legs were jerked out from under her. The one I head- shot took another 2 rounds...I could have waited for the head shot to do its work, but I didnt want him to have a lasr spurt of energy and make the swamp. Two on an other pig coming straight at me.
Whould like to come out here with my JR500 shooting .50 special loads, see how that works.

... to work well, kinda like a .357. We were runnung Fiocchi 180 JHPs and Federal Trophy 180 Trophy Bonded. Pigs be ough little buggers...shot one about 3/4 of an inch above the line between tehe eyes...shook his head and kept coming. Sort of like John Farnam's old joke about a guy getting shot in the head -- he might not get all the jokes, but he could still return fire!
Redhawk ran like a top -- a big clunky top, but there you are!

Just an aside, but the 1895 Marlin 45-70 Cowboy Carbine built for me by Carlos Martinez at the Rem/Marlin Custom Center is nothing short of amazing, maybe the best handling lever gun I've ever used (and, I must admit, I have a "couple" of lever actions). It is also one of the most beautiful rifles I've ever seen. It's a loaner, but whatever it costs to keep it, I'll pay.
I am taking it to Africa later this summer for Cape Buffalo...the proof is always in the field, but I'm comfortable with it. Will be using Buffalo Bore 430-grainers. Pray for surf.

Nope...it's a plow handle...I've never been able to warm up to Bisleys. I ordered it directly from Magnum Research (they're a sponsor of a couple of my shows). Ordered it in December, and was just notified that it has shipped.

Heard an interesting little piece of gossip today, that Val Forgett at Navy Arms purchased ALL the Colt Single Action Army parts from the crumbling Colt Custom Shop. If it's true, might be an excellent time to pick up that Colt you've been eyeing...
