Anyone have a gun worked by him?
Been thinking about sending him one of my Rugers just so I can say I have one.

Anyone have a gun worked by him? Been thinking about sending him one of my Rugers just so I can say I have one. I have a Ruger old model vaquero that was worked on by him. It got his full package. it’s the slickest most accurate single action I own now. it’s the best action job I’ve ever felt on a Ruger and he also sighted it in to perfection. As money allows all my single actions will get his touch. Highly recommend his work.

I have a couple of Munden Vaqueros (likely soon for sale), not Ault. They favor slick light actions rather than creep free/light trigger breaks, but they feel good shooting and mine came regulated with test targets and load data. The only gun I have that's in the running for that kind of light, smooth hammer draws is a Blackhawk with a Bowen perfected Bisley package.
You'll hear varying reports on the longevity of their style of work, but I think that's more the Colt SAA since it's hard to alter Ruger parts to the point of breaking.
If my Munden guns were regular shooters, I'd do the Bradshaw trigger job on them as well. That'd make for as perfect an action as I could imagine.

I've handled a Single Action Colt, the action was so light, I didn't think it would fire, but no problem at all. Never had a problem firing the several hundred varied cartridges that were put through it. It was truly a sweet gun to shoot. I have no personal knowledge of the Rugers.

He did an amazing job tuning my brace of Taylors' 1860 Open Top conversions in .44 Russian. Those things were a mess when I got them on a close-out from Taylors, and Jeff did a superb job.

Does Jeff put a step on the head of the Bolt still (like Bob did)? Just curious.
