I've had a couple over the years and they are a great diagnostic tool. Yours is a new model and looks interesting. Also like the price and the ability to use it indoors. I'll stay tuned.

Howdy Gramps from another old 70 + guy. If you like six shooters this is a great place to be.

Beautiful work. Some checkering would be nice, as I find the non checkered wood slick and difficult to maintain a consistent grip. I really appreciate developing an extraordinary wood grip for the GP. Some type of traction enhancement would pull funds from my pocket for my MC/GP.

Good suggestions, all. I notice that my front sight has a tendency to become gray after a few rounds. Some scrubber should take that off.

On the third of this month I purchased a very nice Model 29-3 3" from a local dealer. Gun is in nice condition and used very little. It is Magnaported and that helped with the price. Paid $675.00 OTD. I've been enjoying the 44 very much but I've been shooting cast bullets in it and now it's time to clean. Notice a lot of crude in the ports. What is the method that would work best in cleaning them?
The ports do work with less muzzle flip and back thrust with heavier loads. This is becoming my favorite 44, it makes for a great packing-woods gun.

Looks like we have a professor and a graduate student in the room, following this with much interest. Very curious about Longshot as a 44 powder. I bought 2 lbs of it a couple of years ago and forgot what I bought it for. I think it was for a 40S&W I was loading for at the time.
