Yep not made in Waseca MN any more… it’s all imported… er… well… it used to be… a lot of chat on the www, that it’s now Winchester made, but could still be imported…

love your shed... I made up Mrs. a "she shed" she could take to craft shows & sell her stitchery... looks similar... mine started as an old tent camper, & is all aluminum except the original trailer frame... welded 1" aluminum square tube frame, 1" foam insulation & peg board interior... aluminum siding, ceiling, & roof, power outside awning, & LED lights... I planted some sugar maples a several years ago, kind of as a SHF sugar source... 6-8 inch trunks right now... we also have many non sugar maples, & I guess the Indians of the area even used to use box elders, of which we have many... the4 think the only issue with the other than sugar maples is lower % of sugar solids... I've never tried tapping yet, as I also have too many hobbies...

Mine are, or at least seem to be, I’ve only shot steel, so no bragging shots, but mine are shot exclusively in my snubbie… a cut down standard barrel, so no unusual twist rates or anything

They must have gotten a large quantity... I just was able to order 200 of them right now, & have to admit, I expected them to be out of stock, but my order went through...

I actually use trailboss ( most of a full case )... sorry, I loaded a bunch, & have the recipe on the ammo boxes, but don't remember the charge without looking... in these new nickle starline cases... but they are traditional proportions for a 250, so I'd bet what your manual says for a case 250 would be fine

after reading through this, I'm sure the best option, is finding projects already completed... I only have a couple higher end customs, that I commissioned, fortunately for me, these are engraved stainless guns, which is my choice if the art is to be functional as well... my custom 10mm Rimmed, one of Clements later projects, may go into the coffin with me... It has detail work from 3 artists... & it's start to finish, exactly what I wanted... I have bought a couple previously commissioned works, & because of my age, & the age of several of the masters, those are the only type of new to me customs I see in my future...

I have no issues with people that are trying to learn... just when those same people start offering advice

we had swans back up here... Minnesota, a month ago... Robins are back a month or more early... this morning, early, I had a buck running in the ditch along side me, it was dark, but he was in my headlights... a 6 or 8 point... still had his rack... a couple weeks ago, saw a group of deer crossing the road, with 3 bucks with racks, in the group... they normally drop off here, mid February... never seen antlers on a buck this close to spring... assume this is because of all the available food, that didn't get covered in snow this year???
you guys from more southern states... how long do deer keep their antlers in your areas???

so, I bought up my retired gunsmith buddies chamber reamers... there were 15-20 easily sellable ones, going with me to the 1 Gun Show I sell at, this weekend... but there are 6-8 that I consider "unsellable"... they are in good shape, but would need just that "one guy", to be interested... my buddy really followed Newton, & custom built himself rifles in all his calibers... ( a long time ago ) but he has a reamer for nearly all the Newton cartridges... I'll be taking them with to the gun show, but expect I won't see that "one guy" there... if anyone that reads this has any interest in a Newton caliber chamber reamer... I got a deal for you...

sorry for the side track... but you mentioned "ugly Betty" this is a knife my FIL made called "Ham Bone Betty"... it's made from a big circular saw blade ( one of those that runs off a tractor on a flat belt ) the point is actually one of the saw teeth, it has a full tank, and epoxied on is an actual ham bone that fits the hand like glove... he made it for the traditional muzzle loader shoot he used to attend...

Southern Minnesota... low 70's yesterday... 34 degrees at 6:00 this morning 40 degrees at 9:00 this morning ( high temp for the day )... strong, cold, north west wind right now... talking rain this afternoon, changing to snow tonight, highs in the single digits tomorrow, then back to the 70's by this weekend... warmest day ever recorded in southern Minnesota in February, yesterday...

Right now I only shoot 480... so it's possible that if the money fell in my lap, that it would be a dedicated 480 rifle... albeit a very expensive 480... ( If Ruger would get to work on that one )
which brings up an interesting point... I'm sure some powders "foul" more than others, so there is likely a powder choice for revolver cartridges that has little to no fouling, for use in shorter cartridges... my old Gun Smith buddy really liked Unique because of it's versatility, but I think that is one of the most fouling of pistol powders, so one may not want to use it, for example in a 38 Special, that is regularly fired in a 357 magnum revolver
