I was flipping through Michael Gouse's pictures on his site, this morning, & I'm not sure, but several of the animal pictures may have started that way ( laser or somehow super imposing the picture, prior to hand engraving )... but there are several pictures of engraving in process, on his site... this is some design proofs, before the engraving began on my gun... it should be noted, that prior to engraving, Dave Clemments was consulted, on engraving on the cylinder, & by advice, the engraving is shallower on the cylinder, than on the frame of the gun... because the cylinder was bored from 357 to 10mm, so the chamber walls are thinner...

This one was actually engraved by Michael Gouse I've had a couple done by him... when I had them done, the quality was good, price was very reasonable, & lead times were very good...

I had a really bad S&W bought new, in the ball park of 10 years ago... a 610 - 6" after 4 times back to S&W, the final time along with a note from the area sales rep. it came back, & is now my 2nd best S&W ( best is vintage ) but they aren't the gun company they were in the 50's, but probably capable of producing some pretty nice equipment, & capable of some good work... but their focus is no longer revolvers, & it may take some prodding to get a "nice" revolver, or work, out of them today... but in reality, they7 really aren't different than anyone else today...

I had one in .308, many years ago, that would feed the 1st one, but never any after that one... I had a couple local guys work on it, & sold it, to a buddy that wanted it... not sure if he ever found someone that could get it running, or if it became a single shot wall hanger... assume something wears, as it wasn't dirty or sticky

I had my 6" cut down to 4.8 inches, just because... I also have a 480 lever on it's way here, and I've assembled all the components for a custom 480 #3... it's not been sent out yet to a builder, so that's likely at best out a couple years...

working on a .410 folder for MRS. this is a CZ, & she's half Czech, so it's special to her... stock is cut down to fit her slight figure... the barrel on both of these are legal length, but her's is a very tiny gun, when folded... picture was taken as I was working the stock down, so the gun would fold barrel up to the stock... in factory form, it only folded into a "V"

Gunny said... "You really don't have to pay any attention to what I say because I'm just an old, retired cop. But I've seen some things I'd like to forget. I'll never get some images out of my mind so I'm very adamite about this...If you're willing to "maybe" enable some thug or other type of lowlife to one day murder or mayhem another human being... go ahead...store your firearm in your vehicle...but please make sure that it is locked down/secured in such a manner that no one can ever get at it... except you." guns can be brought into a situation, in many ways... it's been several years ago now, but a local family was shot, with their own shot gun, when "someone broke into their house to steal the keys to a car, their car had gotten stuck or broke down" the criminal didn't have a gun, but likely became aggravated, when someone unprepared to shoot the bad guy, pointed a gun at him... so it can happen many ways... I have a truck single shot folding shotgun, that fits into a pool cue sized bag, being a folder... it's a customized older Ithaca, & it's been coated in blued & silver color, to prevent rust, a poly choke added to the end of the barrel, to allow maximum performance...the multi cue bag holds a variety of belt slides I made, that hold from slugs to bird shot, including buck shot... I don't keep it in my truck all the time, as I have a wide range of temperatures & weather, but it's designed as part of my "get home bag" of course my carry gun, & an ammo wallet of reloads are already in the truck, if I'm in the truck...

never heard of them before... my buddy bought one at the last gun show... a satin finish stainless NAA look a like... but with a molded "cover" that at the push of a button, the gun pops out like a switch blade... this one was in 22 magnum, 5 shot... improved over the NAA mini, cylinder pin attachment, half cock notches between the chambers the "cover" folds out to a full sized grip...
I didn't get to shoot it, but my buddy is a steel fabricator, & hasn't been carrying, because his belt is full, & often is grinding, for this one, he has made room in one of his pockets...
anyone else have one??? he seems reasonably impressed with it, except for the power, with the ammo he got with the gun... I told him I'd give him a box of the Speer short barrel 22 Magnum to try in it... see if that is any better...

actually those are pretty plain for Olive wood, I'm sure the makers quality of fitting is great.. I have some nicer stuff here, I'd like to send out & have some grips made... & if you look at fancy Olive wood cutting boards & serving trays, it's gorgeous wood... those trays could be cut up for grip blanks... m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61DmnfzEJKL._AC_SL1500_.jpgmail ordering would be a risk to get the good grain, but someone had a table at the local gun show, of Olive wood crafts, & the grains were outstanding on the pieces they had at the show... so buying them in person was the way to go...

love your shed... I made up Mrs. a "she shed" she could take to craft shows & sell her stitchery... looks similar... mine started as an old tent camper, & is all aluminum except the original trailer frame... welded 1" aluminum square tube frame, 1" foam insulation & peg board interior... aluminum siding, ceiling, & roof, power outside awning, & LED lights... I planted some sugar maples a several years ago, kind of as a SHF sugar source... 6-8 inch trunks right now... we also have many non sugar maples, & I guess the Indians of the area even used to use box elders, of which we have many... the4 think the only issue with the other than sugar maples is lower % of sugar solids... I've never tried tapping yet, as I also have too many hobbies...

Mine are, or at least seem to be, I’ve only shot steel, so no bragging shots, but mine are shot exclusively in my snubbie… a cut down standard barrel, so no unusual twist rates or anything
