I agree bore shouldn't matter to what sized gun it's shot in, I've always looked at what is my median bore size, anything bigger is a "big Bore"... for me, 45 caliber is my current medium sized bore, so for me big bore starts at >45... when I 1st started collecting, I would have said big bore started at 40 caliber, back then 357 was my average bore size for the guns I owned... ( say's the guy who carry's a 45 colt snubbie )
and handgun & rifle "big Bore" are different

I've also found that a good vegi tanned 8-9 oz to make a nice holster... I have some very heavy stuff around like 14 or 16oz that I have used for some other leather work ( like boxes, where a groove is cut part way through the leather to give a crisp corner ) & I've used it for ammo belt slides, & backing, but it's much too heavy to form a nice holster, at least for me

I actually tried some 300 grain XTP factory ammo in my snubbie, shooting into wet sand, & they did not expand well out of my shorter barrel at factory loaded velocities... your results may vary if using upper load levels & or a longer barrel

a pretty detailed bag, with time & temperature stable high energy snacks, also includes a full winter survival kit, for protection, my carry 45 LC Snubbie, and an Ammo Wallet full of reloads... I also have a customized folding single shot 12 ga shotgun, with 3 belt slides of 8 shells each, one of slugs, one of buckshot, one of birdshot...

I had an Air Lite 396 ( I think that's the number, 3" 44 Special ) & never had any issues with 44 Special... Inquiring minds want to know... I wonder what is different with the 9mm certainly not doubting the issue, just wondering why??? ( less or more stretch from a Titanium cylinder???... are the chamber walls thinner, or thicker on the 9 mm, than other Ti cylinders??? ... is the brass composition, significantly different than other brands??? the 9mm is tapered, correct??? I don't shoot 45 ACP enough to know, is that also tapered, & if it is, is it to the same degree as the 9mm??? are the pressures at least similar???

I had a custom 6.5 X 54 MS, that I sold off a couple years ago, with my Milsurps... now that you mentioned it, the dies might still be on my die shelf???

I could use the 17 caliber to express… I’m one who believes bigger isn’t always better… and looking at 22 caliber’s, for example 22 Hornet, the new Ruger is 1 in 9 twist, and having already played with that long before, I’ve stabilized 68 grain bullets in the Hornet… 1 in 9 is more versatile than the original 1 in 14… now going back to the 264 mag, likely a more modern twist rate is in order for the old mag…

They are the creation of my retired gun smith buddy, and work really well, with no changes to the gun…
Even if you like the factory comp, pulling the gun apart after every firing, wears the barrel nut, and the threads

This was a much more practical way to comp. a Dan Wesson ( notice there is one on the 44 Mag snubbie picture above as well ) I understand the collectability, of the factory pieces, but with a compensator barrel nut, no other changes were made to the guns...

It's been a while since I've seen the CZ 75 Compact, & what it's evolved to... I have an original steel frame / wood gripped 75 Compact, & it's one of my favorite auto's...

I had a blued 6" factory comp 44 Magnum... the guns, so equipped needed regular maintenance... the barrel ( liner ) was ported, & so was the shroud... gasses got between the barrel & shroud... the one I had, we inherited from my FIL, who shot it all his years, with cast bullets... it took me a couple years to get to it after his death, & by that time the barrel & shroud were perfectly welded together, so in effect the barrel couldn't be removed ( tried solvents, & even some heat... they were really stuck... when my gunsmith buddy couldn't separate them, eventually the barrel had to be cut 1/2 to 1 inch behind the comp, to get them apart... if you have one, I highly recommend, separating the barrel & shroud, as part of your normal gun cleaning... the gun, & barrel stub, were used to make this snubby, so only the welded comp. went to waste... ( as you can see by the picture below, it was a vented factory 6" ported barrel )

Popular???
It looks like all the new long range rockets… wrong shoulder angle, or what held this one back???
Looking at them, they look like all the other 6.5 magnums…

they do make broken case extractors with several arbors, so they work with most cases... I know there is one on my bench, that came from my FIL's stuff... luckily I've never needed to use it...
lucky you had the right size tap... & the skill to use it, could mess up a chamber pretty quicky I imagine...
