I got my Bearcat as a gift from a very dear friend many years ago. The serial number puts it being made in 1959: My Single Six (Circa 1968) started out with a 5-1/2" barrel, but now wears a 9-1/2" tube: My Super Single Six has the 9-1/2" barrel:

A comforting weight, on hip or in pocket. Nicely paired with a Randall ! Classy. Varmints of any number of legs beware. Thanks! I am a big fan of Randall knives. They make a great companion to any handgun, but I especially like to combo them with my S&W when I am out in the woods or bumming around the ranch.....

Thanks dick that means alot coming from ya. I love hunting elk in the mountains and somewhat jealous of guys like you that get to live there and do it regularly. Bushog— we were at a large ranch that runs from mayhill to weed to the eat/south end of cloudcroft. That is some beautiful country up there. We live about an hour away in Ruidoso.

Thanks, the holster is made by D. M. Bullard. They make a great quality rig. I believe it is their “Combat” model. Here is the link to their site: dmbullardleather.comThanks again goes out to Fowler for graciously sending this holster to me……

I have a pair of stainless RV's in .44 special, one is a Lipsey's Special with a 4-5/8" barrel and the other is a Ruger "Parts clean-up" Sheriff's model with a 3-3/4" barrel and the laminated rosewood grips. I carry the Sheriff's model when we are out in the woods walking the pups. I was given a beautiful holster for the Sheriff's model from one of the members here on the forum (Fowler) and it carries the little Ruger really nicely. My other .44 special is a my tribute to Skeeter, a 5-1/2" Colt NF that I picked up a while back. I had Doc make up one of his No.5 belt holsters for it. It is my main packing pistol when I am out bumming around at the ranch....

The lovely bride and I did a trail ride last week with our neighbor to help get his mules acclimated to the high altitude here. He uses the mules to hunt elk with. I packed my Model 5 with the Keith style strap and bear paw track in saddle tan that Doc did for my Colt New Frontier (.44 special)......

I love my 625! It started out with a 5" target barrel. I picked up a Mountain Gun barrel from Midway and had that installed. I also replaced the lock with the "Plug"......

Based on what was happening on other forums, I downloaded all of my photos off of PB last night (Close to 5000 pics!).
This morning I saw that all of my photos on this and other forums were no longer there. I checked my SPAM folder on my email and saw that I got an email from PB on Thursday notifying me that they were disabling certain features on my account, mainly the ability to link my photos to forums.
When you download your folders from PB, they are put into zipped files. I just finished making new folders on my computer and extracting the photos from each zipped file into their respective folders. I am now using Postimage.com for my photo hosting.....

I paid $1100.00 for a nickel plated Python about six years ago. It is definitely a "Shooter" as the finish has some rough spots here and there. It belonged to a friend of mine who carried it as a LEO and I bought after he passed away from his son.

That about sums up my experience, too......... I'm with y'all... Nice New Frontier. You never really went into how it shoots?.. Dr. B's leather has always really been impressive, class act all around. Unless you consider some of the company he keeps. Totally kidding about his company Ha ha ha.....I have never met Doc or Tank, but I think they would both do to ride the river with! I can't tell ya how happy I am with the holster and can't wait to take it into the field. I was finally able to get the New Frontier out to the range and it shot great! I was using my old cowboy shooting loads of a 200 grain RNL bullet over a charge of 5.5 grains of Trail Boss. After a few cylinders, I was able to get her dialed in at 25 yards off of the bench. This was my last 10 rounds of the day: I was also doing some "Spring cleaning" in the garage and I got my reloading bench all set up again here at the new hacienda. I found my box of the 240 grain "Keith style" .44 bullets and my jar of Unique powder, so I will be loading up the old "Skeeter Skelton" loads.
