I put a set of Dawson sights on my G34 and they are fantastic. I plan to put a set on my G20….

My “Grail gun” has always been a 5-1/2” NF in .44 Special. I was able to find one at a shop in Arizona a couple of years ago for $1100.00. Needless to say, I bought it in a heartbeat! I had Doc Barranti make up a beautiful No. 5 belt holster for it: It has been my constant companion for several deer and elk hunts and trips out to the ranch to check the fences…

I have used Don Williams for work on my BHP. He is located in Chino Valley, Arizona. Here is a link to his site: Action Works

My two NEF single shot shotguns get a lot of time in the ATV racks when I am out at the ranch checking fences. The .410 (On the right) has taken quite a few jack rabbits and rattlers…

Some years back a buddy of mine had a Colt “Peacekeeper” that looked like your Trooper with the vent rib. His had a dull, matte blue finish. It wasn’t going to win any beauty contests, but the action was one of the smoothest I had ever felt in a revolver.

This is the first pistol my dad bought for me back in the late 60’s. It is a three screw old model Single Six that originally had a 5-1/2” barrel. The barrel got cut down to 4-5/8”, but the “Gunsmith” that did the work didn’t do a very good job. I found a 9-1/2” barrel and had that installed. This one is .22 LR only: This is a new model Super Single Six with a 9-1/2” barrel. It has the convertible cylinder for .22 mag: This one is an old model three screw Super Single Six with a 6-1/2” barrel. It also has a convertible cylinder for .22 mag:

Those are real beauties. The 15 snubs and any nice 4 inch model 15s are getting hard to come by. 28s are getting too expensive, glad I already have mine. If your 6 inch Model 28 is like mine, it will shoot like a laser. I have yet to get the 15’s out to the range, but the Model 28 is a tack driver!

you guys do realize this is a 6 year old thread. I finally looked at a date when I saw the prices of $500 and under. Anything under $700 is a steal today. The 28 is developing a cult following. I love that trigger. Prescut I got mine for $449.95..... Other than the drag line on the cylinder, she is pretty nice shape. The action is very smooth and the lock up is tight with no end shake at all....

I carried a 6" Model 28 back in the late 70's when I first became a LEO. I later switched to a 4" for easier packing. I foolishly sold the 6" when we were allowed to carry semi-auto's in the mid 80's. I just found this 6" Highway Patrolman at our local gun shop for a great price, so I snapped her up! It came with a set of Pachmayr grips, but I still had the target grips from my original Model 28, so I threw those on when I got home. I took her out to the range today and she was dead on at 25 yards off the bench.....
