I'm a 45 guy in this conversation. This has a steel grip frame but I have an aluminum that I can easily swap to save some ounces.

I have both Ultradots and I go back and forth from simple is better to precision bullet placement is better. I don't blame you for not switching, 420's at 1400fps are not all that fun off the bench for getting retuned.

I assume you went with the big bright dot on the Ultradot at 15 yards and that cocking thumb was on autopilot. That is a great looking holster.

Great article Max. I would like to see better pics of the holster.

It’s good to have a friend in the know that is listed in your effects that can effectively liquidate collections like ours. I know I do. Our days are numbered.

As the sheriff mention, it works in a NM but it won't work in an OM 30 carbine due the case heads being enclosed.

I think maybe they were prepped for engraving because as mentioned above the flats are flat and the corners are clean. That’s hand work of the highest order. For some reason the process was interrupted. Beautiful guns. Hamilton says he only does one or two #5s a year.

They favor ivory more than they favor any horns I’ve seen. Maybe it’s from a unicorn...

I shout 500 Linebaugh full power loads from a Bisley and a #5 gripframe. It doesn’t work for everybody obviously but it works for me. I assume it is merely a hand size/grip thing. To each his own, guys. Find what you like and works for you.

Six 38 special will fit in a single six. I have one in a Harton.

It is a fine single six size revolver. I have owned one and it was an excellent shooter. I traded it for custom grips but I'd buy one again if I ran across one.
