Brass and dies will come.... FWIW I have NOT embraced the concept of the 9mm as a primary defense gun. The only 9mm plus I see is more rounds in the magazine. The 30 Super does that even more. Still not a 45...

I can't imagine what a media-blitz like this costs...

http://instagram.com/p/CYo4aV3AkvL I hope this works, trying to go from phone to computer, but... Federal showed video demonstrating increased penetration when shooting thru cloth... Because the hallowpoint jammed full of denim and didn't expand! Why would they show that?? Edit: Is that a huge video preview for everyone?... I'm sorry.

Everything "New" is the greatest thing ever. I remember the 40 S&W being touted as the greatest thing in the history of guns. Now, the powers to be are trying to kill it off.
It's all a game of hype and making money. Writers will praise as they're paid to do.

I'm certainly not against the cartridge. Most members know I'm sorta a 32 Freak.
It just seems like a solution to a non existent problem. It's going to be plenty difficult to cut into the 9mm's territory anyways.
It's just (almost) entertaining to watch the Propaganda Cycles. For a while we need more stopping power, for a while we need more rounds.
This particular cartridge introduction seems to cater to the "spray and pray" crowd.
I realize it'll be marketed to a female demographic, but I still lean towards range time practice and accurate shot placement.
Never a fan of false security some believe come with high capacity magazines.
JMHO...

I think that is where the resistance is coming from, instead of "Hey you lovers of the 32, look what is available now!" They seem to be pushing it as a replacement or alternative.
Mostly creating their own competition to make more money, my opinion.

Two things. Number one I'm surprised JT hasn't posted pictures of several he got before anyone else, and number two this has five pages so far and no one's seen a round or a gun!

I like the .32 caliber cartridges and revolvers made for them, but I see no reason to add this one to the collection. I admire nearly all calibers and cartridges, but that doesn't mean I'm going to run out and by 2 of each.... maybe as a younger man that was my plan, but not now.
I also don't see this one cutting into 9mm territory much at all. Even people that dislike 9mm seem to own one. I mean, seriously, when you can cram 12-13 rounds of 9mm into pocket pistols with flush-fitting magazines, what's 2 more rounds of 32 gonna do to float your boat?
I never bought a 40 cal pistol, either. I bought a 10mm Glock, and may get another 10mm, or especially a "Five and Dime" as seen here on the pages of the SA's forum. But the 40 S&W? I just never felt the urge strong enough to jump in. I'm feeling the same sort of "meh" with the introduction of this one, a not-so-super carry in my book.

I believe in some of the video's I posted they show the gun and the round. All I can say is load light bullets in a 9mm and it will blow it away or better yet the 38 Super. The 38 Super is a fantastic round and it's muzzle energy can beat the 45 acp. They just have a solution for a problem that doesn't exist. The 7.62 Tokarev blows the doors off the new 30 Super, but do you see the whole world flocking towards it NO!

I have a 1911 in 9x23 Winchester; factory specs put a 125 grain Silvertip hp @ 1450 fps. My handloads with 124 grain xtp's come apart in water jugs, although the bonded Speer Gold Dots hold up better.

You can chamber a 9mm Tokarev to either 9x23 or 38 Super and it WILL take it. I have done it. That's about as small handgun for those two cartridges you can get and it's pretty light for being made of all steel. Mine's all customized and has target adjust sights on it.
