My mind goes to the Sig 210 Target Pistol, the old S&W 38 Special Wadcutter Pistols, etc. To me, this cartridge would be at home there. I was all excited for that, but 50k PSI might take the giggles out of it. Or, increase the giggles, i don't know.

High pressure isn't bad in a small capacity case if you have enough barrel so the pressure has dropped off before the bullet exits.
Agree about the 327 Federal with the barrel gap.
A lot of the small capacity cartridges start loosing velocity in longer barrels due to drag after the pressure drops off.
I think the point is moot anyways. I'll be surprised if this cartridge survives and even more surprised if we see it in anything other than CCWs.
It's off to a bad start with me calling it a "30" anyways...

...wonder if Buffalo Bore will come out with an Outdoorsman load for bear country.... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ................................................. ..hey I'm serious!!! Just remember Phil's run in with The Bear...9mm 147 grain Hard Cast... Phil had 8 rounds on board and used 7 on the bear... The Sectional Density of a 147 grain 9mm bullet is .166 and the rounds were going about 1075 fps from his S&W semi... Well the 30 Super boasts a .313 bullet and at 115 grains bests the 9mm 147 by .002 in Sectional Density...and it will run even faster than the 9mm can!! So all BB has to do is get Verl Smith to design a LBT WFN bullet mold, have Cast Performance make the bullets and we have every Alaskan Outfitters dream bear defense handgun...a Glock 19 size gun that will run 18 rounds in the magazine, no recoil, lots of muzzleblast and will make a bear think it has run into a nest of Murder Hornets or Fire Ants... BUFFALO BORE ARE YOU LISTENING!!! Bob..who just had too much caffeine.... ps...if they can make a .32 ACP Outdoorsman load they can certainly make one in .30 SC.. www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=132

I'm scratching my head on this one, wish they would just free up many, many thousands of SP primers! Dick ^^^^^^this right here. you read my mind. Like others have said I鈥檓 all for new products and I had not heard of this one but crap let鈥檚 unhinge some components and quit screwing around.

Some people are putting magguts kits into their 365 magazines to get 2 additional rounds. Another 2 more with 30sc? 14+1 in a 365 size pistol - maybe with more flash; but less recoil and similar ballistics? If so, some will find that attractive.
At first, I questioned the length; but wonder if that might allow for cheap conversion kits for existing 9mm handguns.
It probably won't survive; but I've read the same many times about the 10mm and 327 over years.
Edited to add: I think this caliber could potentially have a lot of appeal to those who are recoil sensitive; but want something more than a .22. There was a period of time after my hand / wrist surgery when shooting even a 9mm hurt too much to do so effectively.

The 10mm and 327 Fed wouldn't have survived if they hadn't followed up by marketing them to hunters.
I'm not sure how easy that'll be with a round literally named Super Carry.
32 Auto Mag....maybe.
Time alone will answer our questions...

...how about .32 SuperCaliberfragilisticexpialidocious This name might last longer than this cartridge. Will be interesting to see. Of course, my point was a cartridge named "Super Carry" might be hard to market to hunters...

I can't really see it as a hunting cartridge because one is never going to recover the brass...revolvers are just so much more fun in that role...
