My RCBS roll crimp looks similar... Buffalo Bore warns about bullet creep with these heavy bullets in 500 JRH, warns not to expose a cartridge to 4 rounds fired, then reloading & exposing it to more recoil on a 2nd cylinder... I had no issues with any movement with my RCBS roll crimp on 440 grain cast bullets... but suspect that since Buffalo Bore is labeling these as "dangerous game" cartridges, they want to make sure the cylinder doesn't bind up because of their ammo

Got my bfr back in less than 2 weeks, with a new set of black grips... Said it was sighted in, I'll have to try it with the 440s with forearms on sand bags and see how it goes

Nice! Any pics of the BFR with the new factory black grips? (Fun to see others new toys!) I love the "ivory" grips...something about those, but also toying with the idea of the black ones on my next BFR.

Will get a pic up... But we still don't have electricity... So getting it out hasn't been a priority... Maybe tomorrow during the day light, then will post it at work Monday

Grilled pork chops, and baked potatoes, with mushrooms and butter, and some canned green beans cooked in the microwave... Now sitting on the old love seat recliner facing the fireplace, with 2 LED battery powered lanterns, lighting the room... A dog on each of our laps both playing on our phones... Life is not so bad at the only house in the neighborhood without power...

Old love seat, because the new reclining couch is electric... Go figure... The little electric heaters, and a roaring fire are keeping a few rooms warm...

I'd love to have a 500 JRH BFR but until there's a reasonable source of brass, it's a no go for me. Buffalo Bore charges way too much and it's too big of a hassle for me to cut 500 Mag brass, so I'll patiently wait. My 454 BFR Bisley should tide me over until then.

No problem... Forum is my entertainment now that it's dark
We have broken poles on our dedicated line ( the last ones to get fixed ) could be 4-6 days total without power, after this last storm

I’ve used CEB bullets in other calibers and they work really well. Very accurate. I used CEB solids in .480 on water buffalo in Argentina.
