Noticed your on a hillside with your sow. Hope you had a exit strategy. I learned to try let them walk to the top of the hill before shooting if possible. Ask me how I learned that

Any one out there that thinks a Leather Gear sub-forum would be a nice addition to this forum. We all like our projects, and a project is not complete with out grips and leather. Just a thought.

Dillion Dies due seem to have the tightest sizer. If you start shooting .45 Auto Rim, you can still get roll crimp dies from Redding. .45 Auto Rim with 240-255 SWC in a Smith DA revolver seem to be about the same power level as .45 Colt, or at least the max amount of recoil I want in a mountain gun.

I saw a picture of it on Rock River website. Kinda looks like the frame that was made by a Israli company a few years back that became the Kimber that became the Wilson. Those frames were comfortable. I think they took their own magazine design which may be the reason the guns never took off. Just a thought......

Going to give the single actions a work out this fall. Been try to draw blood with all my rimfire handguns. S & W's DA's have been thru except for a recent kit gun. I have a 1955 single-six that is going to be first up this season. Two many rimfire handguns and not enough hunting time. This is my favorite hunting ;D

Never heard of a "W" main spring. Have seen pictures of a "U" shaped spring that served as main spring and rebound spring. Nice gun anyway. Hope you enjoy it.

Well guys, I am looking for a cast bullet source. Turned out the only time ever had an issue with any order from any vendor was a bullet caster. What I am looking for is Keith style bullets 32, 38, 44 and 45 cal.I would like good bullets and will pay for quality. But what I really would like is a vendor that is interested in repeat business and his reputation. I am still dealing with the last thief.

I have not loaded 115's yet but have them. I was going to go with 3.6-4.0 of Unique. My 100gr. cast bullet load is 4.3 Unique and it shoots good in both of my Ruger SSM's.

Interesting points have been brought up. I have a Glock 20 and a Stainless Enhanced Govt. Mod. Glock will hold up because of frame flex.Colt needs to have a 22-24pnd. recoil spring and at least a 19pnd. main spring. The EAA slide does seem a bit light for the velocity it travels in 10mm. I don't have any experience with the gun in 10mm.I have a friend that guides hog hunters that carry's one with hot loads ,he has never mentioned any problems with his. But his is at least 10 yrs old.

Add a shelf and place heavy items on it to give extra stability.
