Dont forget to check bore diameter also,my Smiths are on the tight end so i just use .429-430.It would not be a happy experiance to crack your forcing cone trying to size your bullets down.

Does any one know if the magazines for this rifle are a new design or are they already in use in another weapon.

I load all my handgun ammo(12 Calibers) on a Dillion 550.Would be lost without it.I only load 1 rifle caliber (.223 ball)on the Dillion.Every thing else on a old Lyman Orange Crusher.Dillion would be my First Choice.

Interesting,I have a .45ACP Bobtail that had same problem.Would not chamber anything but Golden Sabre.Bumped chamber with a reamer and adjusted extractor tension.Super gun with great parts, but a specs. a little on the tight side.

Nice Gun.I gathered up the parts to build one from a Mod.28 and a 25-2 bbl. Then I lucked into a "Stainless Mountain Gun"(Springfield Commemorative).Still would prefer a blue one though.

Interesting, I was about to put together one of these guns with a Mod.28 and a Mod.25-2 bbl.(1955 Target Mod.)and then I came across a 625-4(Springfield Armory 500 piece run) and bought it.Just what I wanted,4in.tapered bbl.adjustible sight .45ACP,plus it is in stainless.

If you are in law Enforcment, does your Dept. have ultrasonic cleaner. That would be the best way to clean up that old revolver, followed by disassembly and re-lube.

Thats interesting just left a friends house and he showed me a Heiser Flap holster that was made for a 7.5in.Colt New Service.I would like to see a picture of the holster.I happen to have a 4in. Police Positive in 32-20 that would go with that holster.I will check back with him about Heiser history and post what I learn.
