Or get a brass frame and roll yer own Squawberryman, If you would be so kind as to add this gun to the "Blue Print" thread that was going on a while back... I would love to know some details on this piece. No disrespect to any of the other fine pieces of iron around here, but that is the finest piece I've seen! Most beautimous, you do have a keeper.

Ruger did produce them with brass frames, but I don't know how many. If you decide to pass on the buy, I would love to have one. I've been looking for one with a brass frame for a while, but not real hard.

What Mike didn't tell is how patient both of them have been the last few years about getting a deer with a sixgun, it isn't easy & thats what makes it so exciting when it happens. Both Eathan & Mike have surely paid their dues when it comes to sixgunning a deer. Very few young men would have the patience to hold out year after year, knowing he could take one with the rifle & be done with it. Not many 16 year olds would do it, heck, not many adults would do it, most just give up & go back to the old rifle. Kind of gives you an idea of the bond the two share about their love of handgunning. I'd like to see a photo of the grin on Mike's face but it probably wouldn't fit on the screen. Might have to be an Idaho black bear in the mix some day, just saying! Great job to both of you. I would have posted earlier but I've been off & on with some computer problems, always happens when I get to Arizona. Dick Dick, Haven't seen you posting on Handgun Hunter lately. I miss having there. You always have some good stories to tell!

That's awesome! Tell that young man, Congrats! That's some fine shoot'n with the topless revolver. He's definitely hooked now. Beware, he will try to claim every gun you let him use!

Stan, Hope it all works out for you. It'd be nice to see you post a few on the hunting page. When I get a chance, I'd love to get over and see the rest of "The Set" and have a cup of coffee. Who knows, I might even be able to take a few home with me, again. You know you need to keep 'em rotated.

Fowler, I frequently deal with hot temps and I frequently, on weekends, wear a pair of shorts and a tucked t-shirt or tucked polo. My favorite carry option is a 45CW Kahr in a Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe. With this combo, sometime i forget its there. With your uncle's daily attire; this might fit his bill.

That's nice, Lee! That's the norm with all my FA's. Let me know if you ever want to part with that 500WE...

Well, here's a quick pic off my phone! Two different loads, the lower "group" was a warm factory hornady load, 240gr at 1900fps. I'm amazed that it shot so much lower, every other load i'd tried had been dead center! Another group at a challenging 7 yards!(it makes me feel better about my shooting!) What will surprise you even more is, with a good optic, it'll shoot groups like that at 100 yards. Your addiction has begun and it only gets worse.
