I see why you guys like these Freedom Arms so much. Five-shots at 50 yards (500 grain WFNs @ 1,280) -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

It's scary accurate David. I've never shot an out-of-box revolver that would print like this. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

That's nice, Lee! That's the norm with all my FA's. Let me know if you ever want to part with that 500WE...

the .500 W.E. must not have the same issue as the .500 JRH when seating 500 grain bullets?

Just astounding! I'd be tickled to death with that kind of accuracy at 25 yards and I'd be a shameless braggard if I could shoot that good @ 25! Great work, Lee!

Just terrific, Lee. I'm with you, maxcactus, that's what my BEST groups look like at 25 yds using my 629 Classic with a red dot sight. No way I could touch it with irons, anymore.

I use red dots fairly frequently, and to be honest, when it comes to group shooting and repeatability, I find iron sights to be easier for the task. More difficult to consistently hold a circle in a circle (the same way with every shot) than say putting the circle of the target on top of your iron sights. I have found that for me, the latter is more consistent, not that it can't be done with a red dot. JMHO. YMMV.

Excellent shooting Lee! FA's are excellent revolvers IME and opinion. When purchased used at a good price they are the bargain of high end revolvers again IMHO

Max, before I wore bifocals I would have agreed with you. Now, even when I crane my head and neck back into an uncomfortable position, the front sight is a blur between two fuzzy posts! I can still shoot 2-2.5" groups at 25 yds with my iron sighted Bisley 45 Colt off sandbags, and 3-4" offhand. But the red dot is my best substitute for good eyes.
