Mitch Sass of Lewistown, MT has made mine. After comparing them to a well known stock maker his are better shaped to my hand. I have had several Rugers and a Colt SAA restocked by him. He also reprofiled a Ruger Bisley stock and an Italian Colt Old Army for me. The gunsmith who has worked on my guns even commented he plans to send more work Mitch's way because they feel better to him too.
Mitch isn't well known so his prices are better and he only takes about a week usually to get them done. He has even made rifle stocks for the Little Sharps Company out of Big Sandy, MT including one made of ivory.

Midway lists it. As I recall it will be expensive to shoot just in the cost of brass alone.

Never heard of them. Do you have an address? Do they have a website?

That is the only .308 I have always wanted. I hope you enjoy it.

I have one also. You said you like the .357 Sig option too. Can you tell me who makes a replacement barrel for this Hi Power?

I have the the Mernickle also. The only thing I don't like about it is like you said, if you twist it just a little it is not coming out. For that reason I know I am not going to lose it while hunting or hiking. It does retain my Ruger well, but should I need it in a hurry I can forget about getting it out. As far as consealing I went to longer coats/jackets to help cover and IWB type holsters. I really don't think it matters what the color is.

Hey, not everybody. Just us class guys. Hey I tried to order one, but it would never come in so bought a SAA instead. I am still hoping to get one in the not to distant future and become a class guy.

I tired CLC too and never got an answer back.
I think the New Vaquero and new Ruger Flattop have the same grip frame. You can also look at custom stocks made to fit.

Does anyone have experience with the new Para Ordinance 1911s? I have heard much about them lately, but have been thinking of getting a 45 or 40 in the wide body frame.

"Cool! Now to locate the "matching" Ithaca greener action Single shot disguised as a Winchester Lever Action...And a red felt hat with white buck stitching... "
A friend from Kentucky has one of those single shots. First and only one I have ever seen.

The BT has a pretty thick Jacket, but can still come apart and lose its core at those velocities. The Accubond has the same profile and is suposed to stay toeghter better due to the bonding process. I guess it comes down to your wants as to how the bullet performs.

I know what you mean. I have years worth of shooting magazines. I also recall sitting in my Grandparents stairwell reading old field and streams and the like. Ted Trueblood was a favorite at the time.
