I finally got this Win 70 in 300 Weatherby to group today: 83.5 of IMR 7828, 180 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip – 3,145 fps. I probably need a heavier jacket for that speed but I had the Ballistic Tips. They flew well though and held consistent all day. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Lee the BT jacket will hold up just fine in the 300 Wea. I have shot the 180 grain under 1/2 MOA at 3425 FPS from a 300 RUM with 99.5 grains of H-1000

They hold up well. I've shot Alot of deer with the 180s from one of mine. Just for giggles, try the 180 ballistic silvertip over 84.5 grains of standard 7828. I use the CCI primer for that one. After it settles in the barrel for 5-10 shots, see what it does. Load them mag length of course. That was the best load accuracy wise from my gun out of about 35 tried over the years. I won't type group sizes here but you'll be very happy if it likes your gun like the others I've tried it in

With what looks to be a 26" or longer barrel on the M70 seems to be giving you some very good numbers. Looked up some old notes this morning for a Mk V I had with a 24" barrel.
Weatherby factory ammo w/180 Nosler Partition.. 3086 fps for 5 shot avg.
Fed mag primer, 85.5 - IMR7828 (ABOVE MAX!!! in all manuals) 3150 fps for 5 shots
Fed mag primer, 86-IMR7828 (MAX in my rifle) 3203 fps for 5
I was headed to Montana & anticipating a long shot on an Elk. Wouldn't you know it, the little 5x4 bull showed up at 45 yds. Could've done that with a revolver. At that distance with all that velocity, even the Partition had a hard time holding up. It's the only Partition I've ever recovered. Found it under the skin on the off side & it weighs 106 grns.
Have pics but the new photobucket & I ain't getting along.

The BT has a pretty thick Jacket, but can still come apart and lose its core at those velocities. The Accubond has the same profile and is suposed to stay toeghter better due to the bonding process. I guess it comes down to your wants as to how the bullet performs.
