Marlin 39, I'm jealous, those got real pricey a couple years ago and I haven't been able to convince myself to spend the money

I've got an early '50s vintage 336 Sporting Carbine in .35 thats an easy favorite. Anyone wanting an early .444 with the Monte Carlo stock p.m. me. There is one at the local shop thats been on consignment at least a year here.

Only got a handful, so far. Marlin 30AS in .30-30, an older, Interarms Rossi 92 in .357 & a '59 39A. That 39A is magical. I can not miss with it. here, with my Single Ten. Been trying to nail down a 1894S in .41Mag. After that, I'd love a 39Mountie, an 1895 Guide Gun in .45-70. Wouldn't turn my nose up at a 336 in .35Rem & especially not a 336 in .356Win, neither.

I need to learn how to take better pictures like you guys do. I love levers!! Top: Marlin "Pre-Safety" 1894 .45 Colt. 20" Round Microgroove barrel. Ok, its not factory. It started out as a .44 Mag. I sent it David @ Clements along with a Factory .45 Colt Barrel from Numrich and had it swapped over. Shoots great and feeds like BUTTAH! Bottom: Marlin 39M .22 20" barrel. It was a bit of a basket case when I bought from a pawn shop on GB a few years ago. It was someone's truck gun, as in it must have been tucked under it in the frame somewhere close to the drive shaft. The wood was beat, the stock was cracked at the tang. To say it was dirty is an under statement, the action was full of sludge. The saving grace was the dirt and crud inside and out was so thick it didn't rust. The action wouldn't feed at all. The carrier rocker was broken, the inner mag tube was too short, and a few other parts were altogether MIA. It had a lever loop on it that was so big, even John Wayne's stomach would have turned at the sight of it. I got it cheap and the barrel wasn't a sewer pipe so I put about $65.00 in parts, new birch wood, and allot of elbow grease in it. it turned out great and shoots fantastic.
