I really like the looks of that Sig Sauer. So, help out an ignoramus. It looks as though it can be carried "cocked and locked" like a 1911; true?

Boys, about 30 years ago I got twitter-pated with the 10mm round. Right about the time Colt's chambered it in the Delta Elite. Seems like it will do anything the .45 does and then some. I have examples of all of them, including the fabled Bren Ten (which by the way is the worst 10mm pistol I've ever owed) I've done several custom 1911's including a light weight commander sized carry gun, the STI based longslide and even a GI lookalike 10mm just for grins and giggles. I love them all but if I had to pick just one for all around use I'd get a Glock 20. 15rds of 10mm goodness that won't break the bank. For those of you who don't like the fat grip, acra-glas and a belt sander are your friend! (Hey, don't worry too much about screwing it up, it's a Glock!) My own examples have aftermarket barrels that fully support the case head and also allow me to cast my own 200gr lead bullets that the deer and hogs in my locale drop dead for. My only complaint about the cartridge is that there ain't a whole lot of factory ammo out there. And what is out there is generally overpriced. If you want to shoot the "Centimeter" round in any quantity you'll have to roll your own. The point of this ramble is don't worry too much about which 10 you get, just get one and you'll see what I mean! (Anybody got a Buckeye they want to get rid of? Missing that one...)

Bohica762 Not sure if you mentioned it already or not?
Which barrel do you like best for the G20? For cast bullets and case support?
I have the G20SF, and plan to get it setup better by springtime..
Thanks BigBore44

Big Bore, I have a Lone Wolf and a KKM and both work just fine. The KKM is a little better finished but either one shoots just dandy!

The Sig 220 DA/SA (exclusive) is tops in my opinion with the 3rd Gen S&W second, Glock as good as them.
Then, they be them 1911 jobbers if dats yor thang

Ended up picking up a "used" Glock 40 on GunBroker. The guy had already put on a set of TruGlo TFO sights. Have only had a chance to shoot it a couple of times but it is accurate and light recoiling. Picked up a Simply Rugged Cuda holster and a DeSantis double magazine pouch... It also fits in one of the nylon bandolier rigs I have so I am about set if I want to carry it..
20 rounds at 10 yards...
With the Streamlight 700 lumen light and green laser...
How it is going to be carried in the truck...
Wanted a round for vehicle defense and tried some of the Underwood 10mm XTreme Penetrator round after seeing a couple of YouTube videos... Clocked it Monday at 1688 fps from the 6" barrel... I think it will get the job done...
I called Para/Remington Friday...no more Hunters will be made... I bought a RIA Combat Commander to try a 1911 style 10mm...will be in next week...

....well...after hearing that Para was no longer making the 10mm Hunter I found and sprang for a new one... It was the only American made 1911 long slide that I could find for under $2K...

The EAA Witnesses are affordable and I have never had a problem with mine. Only complaint is the recoil springs are too light. The first time I shot it with full power loads my brass landed in the next county. That was my experience as well. Heavy, fun to shoot but strolling to the far end of the firing line to police the brass got old. I am pleased with my old Para 16/10. Boxhead, I need to track down the mate to your table. It always seems to have the neatest things displayed on it and I just know they came with the table...

Qwned Colt, DW, Glock, and Buckeye 10mm guns here. Got a work buddy with a G20 SF. He wants to put together some 10mm loads like the original stuff. I'm thinking he needs to start with a new aftermarket barrel with better chamber support.

Just ask yourself..what would Sonny Crocket be packin' today ? No dogs in the 10mm bore game, so my gut says I'd grab a G.. if I had bigger hands.
