I asked at the RB but there are few more accuracy buffs here IMHO. If this combo chamber is so great and wonderful why hasn't some one already done this? I can see seperate cylinders, as I have a couple of this type. They both have different preferences of bullets however. Yes it is neat, and different, but if doesn't shoot it is a wash for me. I won't rule it out quite yet as a replacement for my 625, but only time will tell. Proof is on the paper so to speak. My 625 has been a work in progress from the time I got it and tried to get it to shoot at least a some what decent score for bullseye. I have a few more things to do to it but it is way better than when I got it. Jeff

I'm not a double action revolver guy but this new Redhawk does look very interesting. Not sure yet but I might want one. Someone already wrote an article on it here: Real Guns - Ruger's Redhawk 45 Auto - 45 Colt www.realguns.com/articles/728.htm

Thanks for the link to the article. Not really biased but not informative either. However, it is a darn fine looking rig. Time will tell. I will sit back and watch. Jeff

Got my attention, I want to see and hold one. Then highly probable I would buy it. Wanted that size Redhawk in 45 colt for a long time. The 45 acp would be icing on the cake.

I am curious and could easily be talked into one of these. They made a few Dan Wessons that fired the 45 acp, 460 Rowland and 45 Win Mag. Using these moon clips, will this gun work with all of these? It stands to reason it should.

Looks like just what the "Heavy Bullet 45 ACP revolver" guys have been looking for. That Redhawk double action coupled with plenty of mass to dampen the recoil and so much room for heavy bullets.

Crap. I'll never save any money at this rate. The idea of heavy 45 Colt and heavy 45 auto in the same revolver sounds great! Hmmmm.... 45 super will work too...

Have they figured out how to make the trigger something less than aweful and still use that one spring setup??? Until they correct that, a Smith 45ACP revolver will have to be the DA 45ACP revolver to own.

what has amazed me since the announcement of said gun was all the DETRACTORS have seen online posting negative comments about the short barrel so many of us love, the roundbutt that SO MANY HAVE PAID a gunsmith to do to a Redhawk and the WHINERS that complain accuracy of the shorter rounds will suffer. ding dang oys i cant believe it but Ruger has delivered something many sixgunners have been having built for years via expensive custom gunsmithing and many now say WTF? duh some people just want to be B*****S! think Ruger did great in bringing out something that if they can produce in volume wont stay on the dealers shelves

honestly have seen quite a bit of that NEGATIVE feedback BUT it was ALL on OTHER FORUMS that I find to be LESS EDUCATED and MORE PRONE TO BASHING than you will ever see hgere
