If a fella wants a 45 ACP DA that is super accurate and long barreled; Gunbroker has 1955 Targets all day. If a fella wants a powerful packin pistol he can shoot a verity of ammo in without going the T customs route(Not a bad choice at all) this Ruger fills the bill.

I agree with Rob. I am not quite sure what Ruger was looking for in this gun. Such a setup is notoriously inaccurate with the shorter rounds. Why else would dedicated ACP guns have short cylinders and barrel protrusion from the frame.or in the case of the Blackhawk convertables a dedicated cylinder. I bought it for what it is, a very compact easily carried 45 Colt that can lay out some really serious fire power,and at this point of load development it appears to be more than capable of that.
