A few months ago Photobucket changed their name to Blackmail bucket and decided to charge people hundreds of dollars to let them use their photobucket pictures on other sites. Thus, all those pictures that came from members photobucket accoutns went away. Since then folks have been finding different hosting options and I hope members go back and put pictures back form the new host sites.

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way someone tried to lighten the trigger pull and tweaked the timing in the process. The gun was returned to Bowen who corrected the timing issue with the replacement and refitting of several internal parts. Also repolished and reblued the cylinder, barrel and front sight to correct some pretty bad safe rash. Good as new now!

I've put off reading/gasping this thread (after the first page) until I had time to quietly enjoy it, so I filled up a good sized pipe with some good tobacco, and am going to enjoy! But, as I go thru the first few pages, darn if I can see many of the pictures - the ones I can't see have a photobucket message about "updating my account". Why can't I see those? If you search your browser's add-ons for "photobucket fix," you'll find a workaround. |

Hmmm, thought I had this one posted on here years ago but I just browsed through the thread again and didn't see it, so I'll post this one up for posterity... My 1972 Blackhawk build by Dave Clements/Doug Turnbull...  Base Revolver: Late 1972 Blackhawk (45 Colt) quite possibly made the month and year I was born. Barrel: S&W 57 barrel re-bored to .45cal Cylinder window opened and oversized 6-shot cylinder installed to "Fill it" SBH hammer installed SBH gripframe installed and trigger guard rounded (If I had only known what the future would hold in regards to brass grip frames) Wide OM Trigger installed Bowen Target Rear Sight Custom front blade with vertical white line Crescent Ejector Rod Button Hunter Length Ejector Rod Housing w/ oversized allen head screw installed. Belt Mountain Locking Base Pin Manzanita Burl Grips made by the late Brian Neely "Keno Slim" of Klamath River Woodworks (He was PURE Gentleman and wonderful to talk with) Doug Turnbull Case Hardening on the Cylinder Frame and all the other bluing is slowly turning a Beeeeeautiful plum burgundy color. Load: Beartooth Bullets 345gr WLNGC squeezed into early Federal Cases (as recommended by Mr. Linebaugh) over a good dose of H110 and lit by a Winchester Large Pistol Primer for 1214fps. |
