I this the same Shrapnel that was busting a pig in Texas with the sexiest 50-100-450 rifle a couple of weeks ago?
Welcome Kirk, pull up a chair to the fire and stay awhile...

My brother has one, I think these are fantastic guns and am not a stainless revolver guy. They always end up bringing such silly money though...

Yes they have full detailed records on all the guns they made. Just call and speak with the nice lady who answers the phone...

Interesting gun. Does Huntington use a FA style front base of his guns? Because that appears to be a Ken Oneal style front sight that are normally seen on FA guns.

I’ve known a guy or two who swore they used a big old tire and on the backside where the back side of the rim would be they hung a steel gong. When the bullet hits the stew plate the lead splatters out in all directions with the inside of the tire catching most of the splattered lead. Keep some sort of a scoop and bucket nearby to recoup your lead.
Now the lead will have a bunch of rubber in it and stink to melt down but shouldn’t be any the worse for west.
I have never tried it myself but I’ve been tempted to for sure.

I'd rather spend that kind of money on a Nimrod. Exactly why we so few custom Single Six 22lr guns, they take EXACTLY the same amount of work to build custom as the big boomers do but people don't see the value in them. Now my customs are not 22lr either, (I actually rarely shoot 22lr) but that is a dandy of a little gun, I bet it shoots like a dream. Fermin has a Harton built 22lr S6 that they made up years ago in the pattern of a Nimrod that is all sorts of cool and fun to shoot. Id love to have one but to pay someone $4k to build a 22lr? I dont see it happening

I know a couple people who carry those little NAA 22mag revolvers.
Yes they are tiny and hard to shoot well but we are talking about draw and stick it in a assailants ribs sort of distance and accuracy and they work for that!
Just a thought,
The problem is for many runners they just dont wear much, when I ran in cross country and track in college typically it was a pair of running shoes and my shorts and that was it, the women wore the same with an athletic bra top on. We struggled to carry a little zip lock with some toilet paper and few dollars in it for long runs (often would run to a store, buy a bottle of water and run home). Packing a gun was the farthest thing from our mindset. Honestly mindset is the biggest part, be smart, stay out of dumb areas, learn to fight with your hands and mind before a gun but that is true even if you have a gun.
Hopefully she sorts out something that works for her, a lot of runners wear those little vests now that have a hydration blatter on the back and few pocket on the front and that would certainly give one more options. Or we would sometimes carry a small fanny pack for our Walkmans of the day, might work something with that.
Again this little NAA single actions sure are small and offer a lot of options of how they can be discreetly carried...

If you don't mind a round butt and a key lock these are out there. I see them go cheaper than the stainless models. Happy Shooting. Boats Who doesn’t like a round butt, am I right? Very good looking gun. What model designation is that one, pray tell? 25-13 I’d bet. That’s what mine is anyways, one of my favorite handguns I own.

That I needed to send in money for Strek’s Wyoming antelope hunt with Table Mountain Outfitters. I goal has been to take each of the sons and son in law on a guided North American big game hunt for an animal of their choice. Remington picked cougar in Idaho, Spencer picked elk in Colorado and Strek chose antelope. It appears to be much tougher to draw a speed goat tag in CO than in Wyoming so that is where we are applying for him. If he gets drawn then it is time to do like I did with the other boys and rehome some items. That was the plan I laid out years ago to enjoy the custom revolver journey but with one of the end game goals of letting some go to finance experiences with the boys rather than leave them guns that I enjoyed but had no special meaning for them. I have been so blessed with the three young men God has allowed me to raise and accept into the family. Getting to spend those special days seeing them get to fulfill their hunting dreams is more than a dad could ask for . I can vouge for Colorado getting hard to draw Pronghorn tags in, at least in the classic northwest portion of the state. The killer winter we had last year wiped out 60-75% of the big game herd and then our lovely governor spearheaded releasing wolves in the same area to stress the remaining herds of big game animals more. Eastern Colorado is far easier to draw tags in but its all private farm country. Wyoming is in much the same way, the classic central portion of the state where everyone hunted for years has gotten more and more difficult to draw tags is, 4-10 years for most units for nonresidents. Eastern portions of the state are far easier to draw but pretty much all private property where the tags are easy to draw. I have 26 points for Pronghorn here in Colorado and seriously thought that last year would be when I would finally try and draw for one of the glory tags (I have enough points to draw pretty much any tag I want now), but after the winter kill I decided I would wait a few more years and see how the herd responds. Good luck to you and Strek when you do finally draw...

I know in my FA83 shooting cast bullets and traditional lubed bullets, especially good softer lubes such as LBT Blue I would get a ring of lube on the mouth of the case. The issue has pretty much gone away since I pretty much PC all my bullets now but I shoot 480 in a 480 cylinder and 475 in the 475 cylinder (or would except it hasnt been in the gun in 10-12 years).
I admit to shooting lots of 38sp in my 357 and dont really get in there and clean the crud out but then I also dont really lean on my 357 loads either so.
Now if you just stuck to 480 brass forever you wouldnt have an issue either, just saying, I know more than one FA 454 that has been shot for years and years and hasnt seen a 454 case in that time...

I cant imagine they wouldn't although I'm not sure I would want to crud up the chamber with the shorter case and then go back to the longer 475 case, revolver chambers are fun enough to try and clean properly from that carbon and lead build up, a levergun would be a different sort of fun...

Hate to hear this. Magma Engineering supported my Star Sizer too... Oh yea they did, I am fortunate that I have most of the sizers I will ever need, I have probably 30 different ones in there. That said I have 30 because 29 didn’t do it and you never know when you might need another. The last sizer I bought the guy said told me yeah we are not near the size we once were but we are trying to plug along. Casting isn’t as popular as it once was but then neither is reloading.

I make these 2 HP .502 bullets from MP Molds. I'm not sure if you have load length restrictions since I've never loaded the .500 JRH. I'm not sure of weights. I believe there in the heavy 380-400 plus range. That second mold would be the bullet from MP…
