They said in a "month". They did not say which month!

Missing watch update... Scheduled septic system pumping for Friday. Pumper didn't seem too concerned about needing to put on screens and search for a watch. Honestly, I can't decide if I'm hoping we find it or hoping we don't. I'd prefer finding it in the tank than never finding it; but I'd much prefer finding it in pristine condition behind a bookshelf or wedged in a seat cushion. Even though it is a stainless, waterproof dive watch, I have no idea what condition it'd be in after two years in a septic tank. This reminds me of the scene in "Pulp Fiction" when Bruce Willis goes berserk over his missing watch and remembers the story of how his father and his father's friend managed to save the watch from being confiscated in the POW camp by hiding it up their backside and the friend gives it to the son after the war. I am pretty sure I would not want the watch back.

If you sit quiet for a while, he may build a nest up there and it will help keep your head warm in the winter and stop the sunburn in the summer.

Yep, the oak trees here east of Dallas are completely covered with leaves and the grass needs mowing for the third time already this year. The tank is full, the grass is green, the horses and cattle are getting fat and happy. Life is good

Here's a picture of my tactical setup. Is the four leaf clover in the lower left part of your EDC. Luck is always a good addition.

Hey, you do not have to explain to me. I am the guy who has numerous snapping turtle kills with a Browning 1886 45-70 using Garrett 420 grain hammerheads. They hit the tank like a stick of dynamite. You can add 45-70 Hammerheads to the "close counts" list when you are hunting turtles. I completely understand using a 480 Alaskan on a big possum.

I like mine... I have the long barrel ( bought too soon, as I'd really prefer the 4+ inch barrel )... but figured since my other is an Alaskan the 6+ inch was a better fit??? & nice hunting length though the snubbie works equally well Like I have always heard, "make sure you use enough gun". Minnesota possums can be a real handful

My favorite was always hand thrown acorns at 20 feet. 99 out of 100 with a Browning 22 auto, but that was 40 years or more back. If you can hit squirrel food, squirrels are no problem and therefore you always have people food.

Had a great day today. The weather was overcast and mid 70's. I spent the day fixing board fence. Mostly what I shot was 3 inch ring shanks from a Passlode nail gun. There was one legit 45 colt shot that ruined a coyotes day for him. All in all a great day. Hope you all had a safe successful and blessed weekend.

Dang Steve you're a yung in. I am past that have had multiple wrist, elbow and neck surgeries. Still like shooting large caliber, just not balls to wall stuff. The little stuff bothers me more, it's that muzzle blast thing. Three score plus 3 is hardly young, but it is also not old. Kind of stuck in the middle or so.

Guys, my heart is breaking. No, not romantic stuff, not really. But my dadgum wrists are so whimpy and arthritic that I finally faced up to the fact that I just can't shoot my snubby (4-5/8") PPP often enough to become proficient. The SBH 480 is such a great PPP, but even my soft loads (370 gr. RNFP over 8.0 gr. W 231) are too much for my wrists. I fire off a round and then rub my wrists because they hurt so bad. It's not the recoil into my palm, but the muzzle flip that hurts. So I placed an ad on the Ruger Forum and before I got around to posting a link here, it was sold. I am a bit surprised, but I'm feeling really quite sad about the whole thing. I love that revolver. A PPP if ever there was one. But it's like I'm letting a part of me go because I'm getting old, and it stinks. My Dad used to say, "whoever called it the golden years was full of shite!" I am in agreement. Break out the .22's gents, this old curmudgeon has arrived... About a year and a half back I discovered something about my diet that let me eliminate 99% of my arthritis pain. I was in the same boat and was having to face giving up several ranch activities until I read about how food allergies can impact your ability to heal joint pain like arthritis. I tried cutting grain out of my diet, including all bread products, and inside of 3 weeks my arthritis pain just went away. I cheated once about a year back and had several slices of my favorite pizza one evening. I started to feel my arthritis pain come back for several days and I stopped cheating for good. I am not saying it will work for everybody with arthritis, but I have read enough information from others with similar experience to be a believer. The trick is to find what your allergy is, but most people who have had luck with this approach find it is grain products.
