My council would be to not try to shoot other than mild loads in it. It’s a classic so parts will be hard to find if you bend something. Besides, my buddies Sixshot and Fowler clobber all sorts of critters with not so hot loads. Hoover might also have some notes if you care to search his posts. You can also try to PM him and I’m sure if he can tear himself away from slaving over his weekly American Hangunner he might even answer!

I came back to this dumpster fire today and discovered that I had installed the wrong pawl out of the pile. I put the right one in and the gravel was gone. That happens when you have too many sixguns apart at one time!! I’m laughing with you brother!!

WOW!!!! What a true artisan! He's not but about 5 hours from me. He might be a good choice to use for my first custom handgun. I would be sure I got in line ASAP. It will get pretty long pretty fast....

John Powers and myself have been keeping a running check going to see if Alan is doing any better and keeping each other informed. In order to keep you guys in the loop and keep all of this in perspective Alan gave me permission to fill you all in. He also thanks you all for your well wishes and prayers. Alan has a bacterial infection of unknown nature. He is being treated by a bacterial infection specialist and his Doctor is steady checking Alan's blood count and makeup. So far the cultures have not revealed the nature of the bacterial infection. Since the hospital doesn't know what exactly what might be happening they pretty much have Alan in quarantine. When I talk with Alan he sometimes coughs nearly every other word and sometimes a bit less. His fever runs all the way up to 102 at times. So, while he didn't drop his motorcycle and crack his skull this is nonetheless quite dangerous in my view and I ask for your continued support and thank you for your thoughts. Hopefully they will figure this bug out and kill it soon. Will advise further when I know more.

Fermin, you might try water jet cutting. Won't harden the metal as there's no heat and the tolerance can be held pretty tight. I believe my guy can run on 5 axis as well. Just a thought. PM me if you would like his contact information ( He's located in Seattle) Thanks. If you go back up (I realize I’m pretty windy) and check my second to last paragraph you will see I am investigating Le Water Jet process. Still, I want the info via PM as now more than ever do I believe in having a back up plan. ALSO, that stupid screw is not a 6x42 we don’t think. It’s gotta be metric. It’s no wonder I don’t have any hair left.... Still, tonight I finished all the group but Blackhawk sights. I’m closing in hard on the BFRs. Thanks guys for sticking with me.

Since I was dead in the water waiting on the BFR radius cutter I made all the Blackhawk sights that were also waiting. 2nd batch is going out today if it will stop raining long enough for me to make it to the PO without being swept away. I have about 8 more that just lack the final touches and they should go out tomorrow.
Hopefully I will have some pictures for you soon.

I appreciate you guys show casing my custom front sights in your posts. Here is a link to my website which has several nice Single 6/7s in the photo gallery. You Single 6/7/9 fans let me know if you need a custom steel front sight to replace the factory aluminum unit. All of my clients report that they really make a positive difference. I have them ready for immediate shipping. fermincgarza.com/media
