Are the coated cast bullets any good to keep from leading? Like the Missouri Keith 240 grain cast hi tel coated with a beveled edge. for the 44 mag. and how good if a hunting bullet would this be? Step one is to measure your cylinder throats and correct them if need be. Step two is to shoot the correct size bullet. You can’t measure either accurately with your calipers. I have a standing offer to measure your throats and bullets at no charge save postage.

I am interested in buying a .357 Blackhawk in the next few months. I was wondering if there is a cylinder length difference between the regular Blackhawk cylinder and the Flat top Blackhawk cylinder. Personally, I prefer the Flat top and Bisley grip, but I think thats a need in a hay stack combination. I currently cast a 358429 clone and Im able to crimp in the groove for my Smith and GP100. Ideally Id like to keep it that way for the future SA .357 mag. Well, if you gave us the overall length of your loaded round we could tell you if it will fit

That’s the Miha mold Zeus and Sixshot have had excellent success with on critters all the way up to Bison with the 475/480 5 shot guns. It’s marked at about 33% off and takes a long time to get.
This one is available immediately!

Leave the CCH one alone.
I can tell you that the one you got from me would be an excellent canvas for a good engraver because all the flats are truly flat.

No intent to hi-jack and still...kind of on point. Well, um...kind of. But who are you having cut down your barrel? I too have a Virginian Dragoon 44 mag sporting a 7.5" barrel that I want to get cut down to 5.5" as well. Would love and appreciate your insight. I tried to call you today but missed you. Might I suggest Bobby Tyler or John Powers who both can cut your barrel AND install your new sight because the barrel has to come off the sixgun for that work. They both do wonderful CCH as well. Maybe I can catch up to you tomorrow and give you some additional insight.

I gotta give it to Fermin. He's been working hard to get these out for everyone at the expense of having to make them himself. He's been personally keeping me up to date by texting and sending me pictures of sights in the works and where his current work load lays. To say the least, I'm beyond impressed at his work ethic and more so excited to finally shoot with one of these BEAUTIFUL works of machining! Bill, I just about got another one done for you tonight. Just needs a few finishing cuts.

I’ll take that OM 44 cylinder. PM me your contact information and I’ll get you paid.
If you’re interested in some custom cut front sights I’ll swap you out of that Miha mold!

Mike makes an IWB from Horsehide that I really like. I also carry them in the MST ALOT! I think I may have half a dozen different MST and even a 6” LH companion for my long slide 10mm. His 1911 holster have spoiled me to be honest. My carry gun is on all the time. S. Texas is a bit toasty at times so I consider the tougher Horsehide a must have!

Doc Barrantii has quite a selection for the 1911 OUTSIDE the waistband fans. CAn you show those being worn....my 1911 is in need of some leather....and doc is on the short list with the longhorn, razor back, urban companion or summer classic. I would be happy to oblige you but every spare moment I have right now is directed at getting my customers the front sights they ordered from me. Mike Barranti might have some photos of file. The Longhorn Companion is more of a field/sporting holster offering quick on and off and secure carry unlike a street carry holster. The Bruce Nelson was a design I sent to Mike because it is a classic design that can be cross draw or strong side carry with excellent retention and speed of draw. It can be built straight up and down or with a slight cant. The last one is called the 2D2W (2 dogs 2 way) because you can carry it on the right or the left side to be a strong side draw or a cross draw. Obviously it is of minimalist design. Additionally you can carry it UNDER your belt. The back loop on both the BN and 2D2W serve to anchor or tie in the butt of the pistol to your body. Do not overlook Doc's IWB design, I have one on all day everyday. It is impossible to make a bad choice here. A look at Barrantileather.com will yield even more designs for your consideration. It is impossible to make a bad choice here.

I would say that a guy like you, who can shoot like that, might be astounded if you fit the 22 ammunition to your sixgun. I keep telling everybody who shoots 22LR that you should own a "Paco Tool" and that Paco himself is not getting any younger. pacotools.com/I've tried a few other brands, Fiocchi and CCI Standard seem to do the best groups and seem to fit my cylinder throats precisely although the throat of one chamber is tighter than the others. Seems like the paco tool could make the cheaper stuff do well too. If it does its worth its weight in gold. 22 throats need to be uniform too. Let me know if you need help with that.

Thanks, I'm hoping to revive this thread. Although I don't have a bench rest setup and creedmoor stance doesn't seem to work well for me. EDIT: forgot the rest of the details SS is set up with SBH undercut front sight with the MK II target .90" rear blade. Fermin, congratulations on your retirement from Peace Officerin’, and may God bless your new endeavor! I left my badge and hat shield at HPD HQ in late January. What a relief! I miss the good people, but not The Job. One really nice thing about retirement: Carryin’ ANY handgun I want! Life is good! Thanks brother. Glad to have survived it myself!

Sent ya a text, if your phone is still working. You do a heck of a job man! If I did serrations by hand they would be a good seller for those clocked SW barrels. Jeff Ok, here is a picture of an aluminum Para Ordnance frame I hand checkered at 25 LPI for my son. The thing about aluminum is sure it's easier to cut than steel but that's the problem. You cannot afford and have no room for error with aluminum. You can ruin the frontstrap in a heartbeat. Here in the case of the Para wide body it was like cutting 2 standard frames at once. This job took alot of care. And before you ask, No I don't offer hand checkering on 1911's but I might get to where I can do most of the work on the mill. Anyway, the point is, serrations to me are no sweat.
