Talked with Alan yesterday a bit. He is slowly getting better and better. He sounded far less hoarse and wasn't coughing every other word. He still has some sort of bug but we remain hopeful.

The trigger is the same, but the Single 6/7 Bisley’s use a shorter hammer.
I’ve never done it, but don’t see why you can’t mix and match Bisley and BH triggers and hammer except as noted above.
The Bisley frames are all the same size but I seem to recall some have tab locators for some mainframes.

No difference. Made my 327 a Bisley with the grip frame and of course hammer and trigger.

Alan messaged me today with good news. He went a whole day without fever and has his appetite back. Doing quite a bit better.

Thanks for the update. Continued prayers. I guess my phone dumped his number so i couldnt text him. I hope he checks this thread and knows about all the folks pulling for him. Joe, I texted you his contact. Also I think JoeS has an excellent idea. If you communicate with Alan, perhaps a text would be better because he is pretty hoarse and coughing nearly every other word.

Alan is being discharged today. However as I spoke to him it was clear he is not out of the woods yet. In other words, since the Doctor cannot find any infection, nothing further can be done for him other than a regimen of antibiotics which he can just take at home. He continues to have fever although it is not as high as before. He coughs quite a bit and sounded a little more hoarse today. He feels like his body will eventually fight this bug off. I sure would like to see him all better. At least he will be home for Thanksgiving!

Made BIG progress on the BFR sights tonight as I got all the radius cuts made. You wouldn’t know it, but there are quite a few guys on this forum that are very experienced machinists and a surprising number of tool and die makers. I sure wish they didn’t all live so dang far away!! Fortunately I also have some good friends I can consult with locally. I was a bit worried when I made my first cut and saw sparks right away. I backed off and made an adjustment to my RPMs and viola!!!
I am hoping to complete these very soon now. Thanks guys!!

Howdy boys! I am waiting on some blanks but here is the thing about the pin in blades you guys should all know:
The holes are not all in the same place. So, if you want to be sure your pin in blade fits right you will have to drill the blade yourself. Now it is very important you drill it in 2 steps. If not, you have a good chance the hole wont come out on the other side where you want it. So, you drill it part way on one side, and then finish drill it from the other side. It isn't that hard but it would be nice to have an extra pair of hands handy when you do it.
Then, you will STILL be stuck with the Ruger base. If you have a gunsmith install your pin in blade, and he uses his milling machine to locate the hole, keep in mind while he has the thing in the mill that Ruger base would benefit greatly from a little sculpting.....

OK, here are the 2 TLA fronts I made for our resident Sheriff. These are for a 45, not a 454/480 and if you look closely, you will see they are a bit shorter. I accomplished that by simply cutting the barrel radius a bit deeper or taking more material off the bottom if you rather. So the entire sight came down and yet the blade portion of the sight remains the same. Those of you who want a 44 Special sight, again that application would require a shorter overall height and again I would simply cut the difference from the bottom so you would still have plenty of blade to hold over. This would work until we got into the Single Six size guns and then I would have to start from scratch and proportionally reduced the overall size of the base and the blade. I was able to cut these because I have been waiting on a special cutter to finish my BFR clients sights. I got that cutter yesterday so I will be cooking on the those BFR sights but I can hopefully get these TLAs for you without too much delay. Thanks!!

I have a single action Bisley 44 Special that could benefit from such a sight. Nice work! Mr. B, you have a PM. Please be advised I somehow don't have your contact information anymore. Please PM it to me. Thanks.

Nice looking sight. I think a slightly scaled down version would be great on my .44spl Bisley. You have a PM.

Alan has been slowly getting better in so much as his daily fever has been running 102 like before. Blood results show no signs of infection yet his fever remains. The reason for the fever has not yet been discovered. The Doctor continues to run tests and we will just have to wait. They by now have pumped Alan full of antibiotics but still the fever although some reduced remains. He did sound a bit better and says he feels better.

I would also suggest you guys consider cleaning your cylinders squeaky clean and checking to be sure a jacketed bullet slips through those throats. If they are undersize having them corrected will lower chamber pressure.
