ok , it has been a long time since I have reloaded. Just getting back into it .I am starting back to reloading a 41 mag in a ruger hunter and a 480 ruger and soon to be a 500 Linebaugh. So here is the question I am setting up my 480 dies , (480 and 500 will be shot out of a encore barrel single shot only) so do I need to roll crimp them or crimp them at all ? I now I will have to crimp for the 41 dance it is a revolver. Also In 480 and 500 all I have for Col is for a hornady col for a 325 grain bullet I adjusted my bullet seater on a dummy round to get me a col to the center of the crimp grove that is 1.670 .the col of the 325 hornady bullet col is 1.650. should they be same.
The case is starline the bullets are Montana bullet company 400 grain wfn-gc primers cci350 and powder will be h110. contacted hodgdon and they said a starti g load for this would be 18 to 20.5 does this sound right to u guys.

I am having a 20 inch 500 linebough barrel built by Gary Reeder. this is a rookie question but never loaded a pistol ammo for a rifle . will the pistol loads be safe to use in the 20 in barrel. was trying to find some loads for montana 450 to 480 grain bullets in starline brass a cci 350 primers and h110 powder, and also some loads for some of the montana 535 grains with a differ powder. Thanks in advance for any info.
