I've only got two, a G3-19 and a G3-20SF. 1. High cut trigger guard to prevent the glocked social finger. It is difficult to communicate effectively after a day at the range otherwise. 2. Remove grooves from the trigger face. 3. Steel sights with a lamped front. 4. Lighter striker spring. 5. If using a "-" connector, a NY#1 spring to increase trigger return. 6. Removal of the glock hump on the rear of the grip strap so it points like a 1911. Stippling goes along with this mod to cover the hump reduction surgery. No coating is required as the wedges cut out to reduce the hump are melted over the filler once it is cured, and stippled to blend. I'm personally contemplating finger grove removal. I reduced them to half prior to stippling but haven't really shot it alot since. If it became a high use tool, I think they would get removed.

Does the Ruger come with a ramped barrel, or is it a standard barrel as the Colts in 45 acp and 10mm?

I was in the same boat about 15 years ago and went with the RCBS Powder Dispenser. Due to my man cave location, the flourescent lighting caused the scale to drift. I purchased a better second escale for precision rifle loading and it drifted alittle also. The drifting is a minor problem now since the scales aren't built with adequate shielding but a couple of ferric oxide line filters on the wall wart cord coming in remove the majority of the drift.
The RCBS Scale has been trouble free asmwith the Acculab one pre-use note is to let the scales warm up for 30 min to an hour before zeroing, checking and programing for use. Another thing I also did was to get a full check weight set to occassionally confirm what the magic box tells me. There is something to be said of confidence in a beam type scale when you see it actually working. Been pondering getting an old 10-10 scale as a back up although I've had no problems with the RCBS. THE ACCULAB is for the obsessively annal (.02) but comes through after the 600 yard line.

Not having removed it as in this case, my experiance with industrial coatings is that once it is fully cured, acetone might soften it alittle but won't do it to the extent that you are looking for. I would be prepared to try an epoxy/polyurethane strippier or heat from a heat gun/hair dryer.

I've got a KKM in a G20 and had no problems over 800 rounds. Accurate, alot less swollen (guppied) cases and accurracy is good. Looking at one for a G19 also.

As XT above. This looks like a simple mod to open up more finger room, but cautious on thinning the front strap. Does Huntington run a couple of beads down the inside of the front strap before opening up the gap, a silver brazed dutchman and then deck the sides for a flat even plane to mount the grips on?
I did a seach and found the old threads with a few pics that are no longer available due to Photobuckets new draconian fees.
Thanks, G

I've been enjoying Gout for some 25 years. I've had flare ups in the knees, ankle, foot and toes. The doctors say red meat, rich foods and drink cause the flare ups. I've found two triggers so far (asparigus and cranberry juice and a possible third, liverwurst). I work frequently in dehumidified enviroment for steel painting, potable water tanks, fuel tanks and bridges. The best defense is hydration. I try to drink at least a half gallon of water a day to 5 quarts when working in a dry climate (RH < 30.0 %). Gout is not arthritis, but the damage of the acid crystals (sand) in your joints over time will cause it later in life.
If you have a flare up and think it is gout, seek medical attention for prescription drugs to reduce the uric acid level is your body. Everyone has it but when it reaches about 7, it can not stay disolved in fluid i.e. salt or sugar water. The drugs will reduce the level and water will flush it out of your system. When you in pain, organic cherry juice daily may work as a maintenance regime but will do little for immeadiate reduction.
I've been on Allopurinol x 300mg per day for years and still occassionally have flare up when I don't consume at least a half gallon of water per day. For pain during flare ups, i have been perscribed Indomethacin 50mg caps x 3 per day which i occassionally use since it'll jack my BP. If it is a bad flare up and I have a locked ankle or hot toe and can't walk climb scaffolding easily I might double up the first dose of Indomethacin.
How do you know it is gout and not a broken toe. Ice does little to relieve the pain and just the weight of a bed sheet on it causes pain. It may be red and slightly swollen but I've only had minir swelling on a couple of occassions.

I run an RCBS Charge Master for load development and general weight measuring when setting up periodic verification of powder measures. For rifle, I trickle up on another electronic scale accuate to .02, but it is a very tedious task. The scale is susceptle to heat/ac draft, flourescent lights (fixed with ferric oxide line filters) and requires a 20-30 warm up to preclude drift. I need to find an RCBS 10-10 since my 502 crapped the bed.

File handles I think are over rated. I have a bunch for needle files and 3-4 for the bigger filees. I occassionally use then for hogging out stuff like grip tanks on a 1911 when fitting a beaver tail but after the heavy lifting is done the are removed so I can stand them up in my file board. Nothing worse to dull up your filles than them clanking around together.
Granted some of the tangs are sharp but a cheap diamond home will break those sharp edge to the point they won't hurt your delicate hands.
