I also use that holster for a 4" S&W 617, thanks, I also thought of that, I could buy another and do that. You could cut your current Gallo and have a leather person restitch it for you. Trapr

I recently sold my S&W 69 with the 4.2" bbl and bought the 2.75" bbl version Model 69. I was using a Galco DAO holster for the 4.2" gun and really like the holster being able to wear it strongside or cross draw but they don't make a holster for the shorter bbl. Any suggestions for a similar holster without breaking the bank? Not really wanting the pancake style since they take up a good bit of belt room, but will probably get a simply rugged pancake if I can't find anything else. Thanks, John.

Any more interest? Time to make this? I see over on castboolits they are working on a 385 gr .500 HP group buy, but I was wanting a little heavier like this one. Any chance in making this design a reality? I'm looking for a new mold for my recently acquired Bfr 500 JRH and would love a hp version, but if not enough interest I will order a WFN design.

Update on my BFR 500 JRH, I'm shooting 500 Specials in it and a few times after a shot the hammer wouldn't come all the way back to cock again. I had to work it back and forth a few times to get it cock and shoot. Also the loading gate was difficult to open fully, I filled out a form on the Magnum Research website for warranty repair on Wednesday and Thursday morning they sent an email with a paid FedEx shipping label. They received it Friday, I'll keep you informed what they find and how long it takes. Received my BFR back on Wednesday, they had it for 2 weeks. The work order stated "barrel rubbing front of cylinder, adjusted barrel cylinder gap" The cylinder gap was .0025 now its .004, I also noticed the loading gate is now much easier to open. Shot 20 rounds today with no problems, hope it stays fixed.

This one was pinned, I removed the pin and the bushing came out easily. I degreased the frame hole and the bushing and reassembled it with loctite, so far after 100 shots it's still in place.

Just picked up a S&W Model 63-5 with a 3" barrel and it seems my holster choices are limited. For those that have a 3" J frame such as this or a S&W 317, what are you guys using? Thanks, John.

I decided to try blue loctite first since I don't have red. After letting it cure, shot over 50 rounds so far and no issue. If it does loosen again, may try red loctite. Thanks for the replys.
