Glad that worked out John. I am sure you will be happy with the BFR. The rubber grips on my .454 worked just fine but I wanted the Bisley with the black Micarta sent it back less than 2 weeks ago and got it back yesterday. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but grips feel and look great, also had an action job and wide spur hammer installed and was really pleased with the quick turnaround. Just letting you know as I believe you were originally looking for the Bisley model. Tony I have a 5.5" BFR bisley in 500 JRH and like the grip, I'll probably keep the rubber grip on this 44 since it doesn't kick much. This one has a pretty good trigger at 2 3/4 lbs so I'm happy with it, thanks.

Jjsharpshooter, I was at the range yesterday and they do have one new BFR 44 magnum, 7.5 barrel, with the Hogue rubber grip. They are a pretty sizeable outfit with a good reputation. They do have a secure online order on there website. Tony I ordered that BFR 44 Mag and had it shipped to my dealer, picked it up today, they shipped fast and were easy to order from. Thanks, John.

Thanks Tony, I have to check with my local dealer tomorrow and maybe check them out. I see they are in Jersey at Little Egg Harbor, I was stationed at Coast Guard Station Beach Haven back in the 80s, not too far from there.

Contact the seller and see if the factory did the work. They do all mine and it feels better than my FA with the factory optional action job. I tried, no reply yet. They replied local gunsmith.

Thanks Lee, yes I had seen that one but I'm not interested in that scope and am leery of the "hammer and trigger job" statement. Contact the seller and see if the factory did the work. They do all mine and it feels better than my FA with the factory optional action job. I tried, no reply yet.

Hello all, I'm looking for a BFR chambered in 44 Magnum, 7.5" bbl, I prefer the Bisley style grip but the newer style rubber grip might be ok. If you know if any please let me know. Thanks, John.
