Very cool. Here's it's older .22lr brother: a 1948 K22 with numbered grips and Tyler-T. The old K-frames are just wonderful revolvers, and often sell for much less than the value of the enjoyment you'll get shooting them.

I THOUGHT so! Nice grips! That birdseye maple really goes well with a stainless finish. Who did the engraving on that power-ported 629?

Kurac's grips are some of the best I've tried and his turn-around time and prices are pretty good. I've got more on order

Just got a couple of new pairs of grips for my Model 29 and Model 27. The Model 29 grips are made from fiddleback Royal Bastogne and the Model 27 grips are California English walnut.

With the difficulty in finding brass grip frames, either Bisley or Dragoon, for Ruger Blackhawks, has anyone had a grip frame coated or plated? Cerakote comes in colors approximating brass, and at one time Accurate Plating and Weaponry offered Gold Titanium Nitride coating, but I haven't found any gunsmithing outfits that offer brass plating, or any pictures of frames coated with Cerakote or any other type of coating. Suggestions? (Other than the obvious: get a brass frame )

Anybody have a 5-shot conversion on the Ruger mid-size Flattop frame? I'm particularly interested in a .45 Colt conversion: can the same loads used in the large frame 5-shot conversions be used in the mid-size frame conversions? How is cylinder length? Can longer bullets (such as the 360gr Oregon Trail Tru-Shot LFNGC) be used? I've got a 4 5/8" Bisley Flattop 44spl that is just waiting to become a .45 Colt I'm thinking 5 1/2" banded barrel; unfluted cylinder, ivory micarta grips...

So I was doing some cleaning the other day and ran across 1500 Oregon Trail Laser Cast 180gr .357 bullets I'd laid away back when I had a .357 lever gun. Don't have the lever gun anymore, but do have a profusion of .357 revolvers.
What loads should I try in either 38spl brass (for S&W 27's and 38/44's given the shorter cylinder) or .357 brass (S&W M586, Ruger GP100, Blackhawk, etc.)?

624's in 44spl: Pair of Bisley Flattops, 44spl: M24-3 3" Lew Horton 44spl: Flattop 44spl, the first one I'd seen the summer they were released: Did I mention I like the 44spl? Just one Magnum in the house right now. Model 29-2:

Will the alloy grip frames from the New Model Blackhawks and Single Sixes fit the New Model Flattops? I've got a Flattop 44spl and a Flattop 45LC/45ACP that I'd like to lighten up by replacing the steel frames with an alloy frames. Are there any alterations that will need to be made?
