Anybody have a 5-shot conversion on the Ruger mid-size Flattop frame? I'm particularly interested in a .45 Colt conversion: can the same loads used in the large frame 5-shot conversions be used in the mid-size frame conversions? How is cylinder length? Can longer bullets (such as the 360gr Oregon Trail Tru-Shot LFNGC) be used? I've got a 4 5/8" Bisley Flattop 44spl that is just waiting to become a .45 Colt I'm thinking 5 1/2" banded barrel; unfluted cylinder, ivory micarta grips...

A five-shot mid-frame .45Colt is safe for "Ruger only" loads, not 55,000psi large frame bombs.
They can also be made into a .50GI, .500Spl, and apparently .480Ruger.

Possibly. Bowen says "Ruger only" loads. It stands to reason, if the .480 works, at 48,000psi.
