Got my copy last week and enjoyed it immensely. Here it is hanging out with one of my favorite Rugers:

Just ordered a copy. It'll save the wear and tear on the '61 edition hardbacks I've got on the shelf.

Great news! I'd buy at least three in color and hard back. One for the coffee table, one for the reading room, and a spare to keep in the safe until the other two wear out ;D

The octagonal barrel on that Vaquero frame just looks "right" to my eyes. Very fine revolver.

Edm: Those magnas look really cool on your M25. I had these out today on my 4" 624 to see how they worked with heavier recoil. Kurac made them from Eureka variety English walnut:

That buffalo looks "like you owe him money" as Robert Ruark would say. Great sketch and it should make an awesome holster. This is a really neat project, thanks for posting the pics.

Here's my 2013 project: Stainless Ruger Flattop 45 Colt, 4 5/8", going to Bowen's for: a. Action tune, BP chamfer on cylinder, freewheel pawl conversion b. Install Keith style Baughman ramp front sight with gold bars. c. Lanyard ring d. Lightweight frame cuts e. Install alloy grip frame and alloy ejector rod housing; coat to match stainless finish f. Bisley hammer g. Black micarta grips with Ruger medallions by Cary Chapman. Should be a nice, lightweight little carry gun when it's all said and done
