Recoils less than the 32 Mag! So you will not need the optional helmet that they offer

x101airborne And I understand completely about harder to pack out stuff. I used to shoot a deer, gut it, throw it over my shoulder and walk the half mile back to the house. Now I shoot one and call for a truck or side by side. I am either spoiled or getting old before my time. Nothing wrong with working smarter not harder Trey. Around here you would be covered in ticks before you made it 50 yds.

My son traded for a Savage Striker in 7-08 and wants to put open sights on it for silhouette shooting any recommendations. He wants the sight on the receiver.

I keep a couple of left hand holsters around for my carry guns. Had rotator cuff surgery on right arm so needed the left hand holsters. I also had a CRKT neck knife velcroed to the inside of my sling, just incase I needed to cut a sammich or something.

A friend had a 28 in barrel flintlock 4 bore muzzleloader he built. It weighed 14 #. I have fired it with 150 grains of 3 fff powder and a 4 oz ball. In the 14# smoothbore it moved you around a bit. It had a huge push and as seen in the video it would just keep on pushing. Once you get a 14 # rifle moving it wants to keep on moving. A second shot with a double 4 bore rifle would be a slow affair, relatively speaking.

Tired today. WORKED AN ADAPTIVE SPORTSMAN OF KENTUCKY fund raiser last night. Walked a couple of miles and spent 7 1/2 hrs. on my feet on concrete. Old feet aren't used to that anymore. A worthy cause and a fun evening.

He was very lucky but he made some of his own luck too. By his own admission he was very scared. He kept his wits about him and used his most powerful weapon his brain. He analyzed the situation and plotted his best course of action not loosing his cool. This is what I have, this is what I will fight and win, or fight and die with. Now how do I go about it. He kept his cool and made his shots count, that saved him. I don't know that I could or would have shot her just once and waited for a reaction, though in hindsight he did the right things in that moment in time.

Tried some 180 gr cast with 2400 in the 300 Whisper. NOPE didn't like those at all . Added some 44 special with the flat top, then threw in some .22 single Six and the Single shot Cricket for fun. Beautiful day today in KY, people mowing grass already.
