Well I don't have the Brass Bisley 45 Colt ( yet ). That's the dream gun of this thread. But here are a couple so-so pics of the 500L dream gun with Rybka leather. Is this built on one of the flat top 44 mag guns, or did you have a large frame NM flat-topped by the 'smith? I've seen this gun before but I never noticed it had a flat top on the frame. Very slick 500L!!!

I looked at John Linebaughs website and it looks like he is charging $3000 or so up charge for a brass bisley grip frame with exhibition walnut that he supplies and fits. Better save those nickels Snyd!

My dreams have been answered. A NM BH FT 44psec 5.5" and a Vaq Sheriff !, Then the 480 SBH Bisley.. A tweek here and there...order a bunch'a bullets, a mold, buy more powder, etc.. Life is good. I'm kinda happy with reality as it is right now. I'll not be able to wear these three out before I might dream of more.

Better save those nickels Snyd! Ya no kidding.... To get the banker to agree I think I'd have to part with a few others guns like the 45 Colt BisHunter. But for now I'm just working on casting, loading and shooting the 500L. Life is good!

Sorry Tim, now if you will excuse me I will go stare at something in my parts box! = Just teasing my friend. When the guy posted the two Linebaugh guns for sale with the brass grips frames we visited back and forth and he is the one that suggested I go look at Johns website. I could NOT believe what I was reading! No grip frame is worth that kind of money in my book.

I just made a deal for my dream revolver. 475L done by John Linebaugh as one should be. It's going to free up a couple of my others to be sold that I'll list soon, a 45 and a 480. In our world this is truly an iconic pistol as is the Bowen Nimrod and a few others.

I already have my dream 6 shooter, a second gen. Colt SAA with custom work done by A. Harton. It is a 5½" barreled .45 Colt with one piece burled walnut grips, custom tuned action with an extra .45 ACP cylinder made from a .357 takeoff. It is so smooth it feels like it is running on roller bearings lubed up with slick 50 and ice. He even sighted it in for my favorite load and the .45 ACP.....BUT this kind of work costs some bucks and is not free....LOL
