Given that When I was kid we had no money and my parents had no interest and my first gun was a Ted Williams 22 I used to clean the lead and wax out of with a real dart and some Hoppe's, I would have died to see the guns I have now. I'm pretty much done. Probably I can understand that sentiment, nothing I really need and my mindset is if I dont shoot it or carry it regularly, I dont really want it. About 5 years ago I thinned the herd appreciably.

Well, I've been lusting after a 500/510 Bisley for years and decided to finally take the plunge on having one built. So I guess you could say it has to be my dream revolver!
It's currently a blued Bisley vaquero in 357 but when my turn in line comes up Mr. Clements will be doing a 1.4" 500 S&W conversion. It will sport a thin ribbed ovate barrel at 5.5" with pre-war rear sight blended into the top strap. Crescent ejector, #5 pin, scalloped gate and shield. The trigger, hammer, and ejector rod will be case colored along with the frame. I'll probably not be able to afford grips up front, but I'd eventually like to have a nice set of sheeps horn made.

Man that sounds nice.

Whit, could be. But a tapered barrel, not bull. Would be kinda like the Two FACTORY .44 15" flattops were made. One cut back down to 10", I believe, one still around. Jimmy Dillon of Alabama owned it at one time. Just a thought. But, in my case, as they say, "wish in one hand.................do-do in the other" Jack

Mine would be a six inch octagon barrel Freedom Arms in 475L, with an additional 480R fluted cylinder. High polished blue, with a color case hardened frame, trigger, and hammer. Finished with one piece elephant ivory grips.

I guess my dream gun is a 5 1/2" octagon barrel, 5 shot .45 colt or .480, Bowen rear sight, highly figured exotic hardwood on a Bisley grip frame, knurled locking base pin, free spin pawl, and it DOESNT EVER MISS! What details did I miss?

Thing about getting a dream gun, is after I do I have another dream the next night... Right now it is having Hamilton work over a Single Six. CCH receiver, Grand Masters 2 piece grip frame to hold a one piece Turkish walnut grip and a Damascus or ovate 5.5" barrel. 22s are a blast.

The sad thing is i had the perfect donor gun a few years ago and had plans of having something built. Due to money and lack of patience i ended up trading it to a friend for a Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter in .44 magnum. I like my Bisley Hunter but i also wish i had that donor gun back now too.......

Unanswerable question due to changing or maturing tastes and visions. I am fortunate in that I have several of my dream guns from various stages of my life and there is one or two more in progress but like JT has said many times about the PPP, it is the hunt and the chase that lets the excitement last for years.

Well, like many others here I am blessed to already have 1 o 2 dream guns including a blue, octagon, bisley, sheep horned, 500L. But there is one more... Linebaugh built 5 shot 45 Colt brass bisley with whatever John thinks it should have.
