Tim, not all your guns are the "proper" color. I have been in the hallowed halls of the Prince gun safe.

One day he will get tired of them and they will find new homes in Oklahoma. Beautiful guns and Greg and I have talked, that front sight is worth the price of admission to that game. Pure art.

Have you checked chamber length on it? I say that because the one marked "500 Max" from the same seller was on a regular blackhawk frame also. I would have to think there is a chamber difference between the two from the same builder.

Sorry for the delay, I just got in from work. Several guns listed lately don’t have proper descriptions or provenance. I did get this gun. Second Clements gun this month. Both are OM 44 specials with OM Bisley hammers. Bidder came in at the end with money and I bid my max and went to check a crew. His bid didn’t quite get there. It will be sometime around Memorial Day before I get home to pick them up.

It is very interesting but there is no Taurus worth that kind of money to me.

Are you saying a 75% offer would cause you to think about it?

I wish sellers would post their reserve, otherwise it can be a pointless exercise.

I have often wondered about the effect of porting on the torque along with the recoil in the big boys.

My guess is that it's a .510 1.4" case length and the other gun was a .510 at 1.2" case length.

That gun was not a real 500 max. It wasn't built on a Maximum frame. All max frames start with 600-XXXXX.

All I know for sure is that the reserve is higher than $1500.

It may need a stiffer spring in the ERH to dampen the movement.
