If you are familiar with Jack's work, the JRH marking is his. No doubt in my mind that Huntington built the revolver.

That’s not normal for the handgun I’ve seen you with lately. Is there something new you are shooting?

As my own experiment on sight width, I bought four widths from Fermin for a single six/seven. They start at .085 and go to .125. Different barrel lengths, different rear blades, and your eyes affect your sight picture. I need a little more light on each side was my final conclusion. Fermin is a great guy to deal with.

It appears the sight pin placement is too high to simply mill or file it flat. That being sad, money and the right smith can do anything with in reason. I agree a flattop Bearcat would look better.

I picked up this little SIG yesterday to replace my Kimber Micro 9. Arthritis in my thumb was starting to spook me with the Kimbers tiny hammer. The SIG feels good in the hand, has a 10 round magazine and is smaller than a Glock 43. Any body here have one or shot one? Your thoughts?

Eskimo I think you hit it. I'd bet absolutely nothing that if a 45 came from Tenessee with two cylinders it'd say 45 Colt on the barrel. or 45 caliber

I wonder why a two cylinder Bowen gun with a reworked top strap and custom sights garners no interest financially... Too high of a start and the second cylinder is not chamfered the same which may indicate that Hamilton didn't do it. The barrel is marked 45ACP which leads me to believe that's the only cylinder it left Tennessee with. The serious bidders will show up last minute and it will sell. I'm just guessing here.. Curtis

That makes me think I need another 500 Linebaugh. I have BFRs in 500JRH and 475 Linebaugh. A BFR is a great value in the market today.

I have entertained the idea of the JRH grip mod but it's not a necessity if you avoid the highest level loads. 400-440 grain bullets at 1000 to 1100 fps are bad medicine on most critters. Curtis Now why would you do that? I say if you want less recoil, by a .38 Special.... LOL! Well Max, I do have two 500 Linebaughs for T-Rex and such. Curtis

It looks like you got a heck of a deal on a complete shooting package. I shoot my 500JRH with a set of wood grips Zane made for me. The gun is very SBH-ish in it's recoil mannerisms. Its extra weight helps to mitigate the bigger caliber and heavier lead. I have entertained the idea of the JRH grip mod but it's not a necessity if you avoid the highest level loads. 400-440 grain bullets at 1000 to 1100 fps are bad medicine on most critters.

This is my .40 Horvath midframe. I also have the makings for a Smith barreled 5 shot 41 mag midframe Bisley, but I just haven't taken the time to ship it to John Powers. The Ruger mid frame is a very nice well made platform in any configuration.

I ask my LGS to pick me 3 of them in black or silver or any combination of the two. I'm hoping he has them by the time I go home for Memorial Day.
