I'm sure Tim said the 41 Special single six is collateral if he drops the FA. I might have heard that wrong...LOL
Tim and I have traded in the past. I'm sure we will trade out the half at some point in the future. I wanted it to end up where it will get shot and not shelved. Mine don't get shot as often as I like but there are no safe queens.

Have you ever bought half of a revolver? Me neither....until yesterday. A very desirable gun was coming to market in a few days from a collection here on the forum and thanks to Bushog, I didn't have the funds for the gun but it's good to have friends. Me and a notorious anti stainless fellow here bought a FA 97 that had been through the hands of Hamilton Bowen and Roy Fishpaw. We have formed the Oklahoma syndicate, for lack of a better term. We both work in the oil and gas world but he is firmly planted and I'm a gypsy traveler. You have all seen it before and in a couple of weeks you will see it again. There are a lot good people on this forum.

Did Ruger ever make blue Hunter model single actions? Seems I recall blue Redhawks with scope mount cuts on the rib...

I did end up with this. Those guys at Collectors Firearms made it easy to complete the transaction. I have been in the store but never purchased from them. A fellow named Vincent helped me and it was an extraordinarily easy purchase. I looked last night and I do have a stainless NM Blackhawk 357 cylinder that could become a 38-40.

Looking at it a little more, you can see it was a 357 to begin with based on the barrel intrusion into the frame window. The smaller calibers are made with shorter cylinders so you can't put a longer 45 colt cylinder into a 357 gun. Compare that gun to the Ruger 40/10mm convertibles on GB.

The serial number is from a 357 so it has a custom barrel and probably was a convertible so both cylinders were rebored and rechambered. You can’t tell from the pics if it’s marked on top of the barrel.

I like that gun a lot but the description is fairly lacking and the pictures don't show the detail work I want to see. when you are selling a $2400 gun you should go big on details, description and pictures.

My favorite 22 Hornet is an open sighted Ruger #3. Light, handy and a lot of fun to shoot in the Hornet.
