What's your favorite rifle chambered in .22 Hornet and why?
Mine is a Browning Low Wall.....accurate and handy.

I really enjoyed my Taurus Raging Hornet revolver. It would shoot 10 rounds into 3" @ 100yrds on a good day, and 5" on any day.
Mounted with a scope, trigger guard laser dot, and 250 yard, battery packed spotlight, I used it for several cold, all night, predator hunts.
Had a mountain lion crawl right up beside me one night with the Hornet and a predator call! We'er talking like 5 feet close!! When I turned on the light, the reflection from its' eyes was blinding!!!! I just cringed like a scared little girl and it fled with the same enthusiasm!! It was hard to get friends to come out with me after that one!!....LOL
My model 77 Ruger was my neighborhood deer rifle. Anyone that wanted to hunt my land for whitetails was required to use my M77 Hornet. A 35gr Vmax kills deer like a lightning bolt!! And it rarely exits.
I have since sold all the hornets in favor of the 223 Remington...It just does everything better. But, my son recently found an old box of 22 hornet..so we may be returning to the Hornet just for fun because his 410 will accept a 22Hornet insert..

I agree about the .223.
This is part of my dilema......
Get another hornet or get a .223.
I'm thinking of selling my Cooper 1st gen Varmint Extreme in .223 for a walking varminter.....

I have three 22 Hornets...
1) Browning Micro A-Bolt 2) Ruger 77/22 Hornet AS 3) Ruger #1A
Couldn't pick out which one I like best. All are great rifles in their own right.
I lean towards the small capacity cases for varmint hunting. The reduced noise is a huge benefit for increased kills.

We currently have 3, do enjoy them, everything bigger will out perform them, but they are cheap, quiet, and very enjoyable. Cast adds a whole new world, I likely will never be without one.

Yeah, the cast boolit thing in a rifle intrigues me.
For me intrigue means "rabbit hole"
Anybody have one of the CZ 527s? (I think that's the right model)?

I don't own one, but have shot one extensively. They are nice guns, but suffer the same issue as my Ruger 77. Namely, short magazines. The Browning Micro allows me to shoot the 40 grn V-Max bullets with ease.

Bushog, I do not have a CZ 527 hornet yet. When we were shopping for a 527FS, it was supposed to be a hornet, but .a 223 ended up coming home instead. With that said, my buddy is sitting on a CZ 527 American in a hornet NIB, it’s gettimg very close to coming home to roost with the rest of its family. We use a Lyman 225438 right now with no complaints, but am really looking forward to the Hornet mould in the group buy. That little 37gr HPGC should be a real gopher buster, this is the time for all you hornet guys to get signed up and get this little gem moving.

+2 for the Handi Rifle. I had one, loved it, but sold it to get a new toy. Dumbass. The fellow I sold it to got serious with it, put a Leupold on it that cost triple what the Handi did, and was showing me 3 shot one-hole 100 yard groups. Outshot his Ruger bolt gun. I've been looking for another ever since.

My only 22 Hornet, a Contender carbine with MGM barrel. It shoots factory 35 gr V-max into about 0.75 MOA if I pay attention. Now that I look at the picture, the 4x mini Burris looks a little awkward on it. But...it's a handy little package and easy to shoot.
