Received a text this morning from long time friend & forum member Russell Cottle (Sheriff) that his wife passed away yesterday from complications of back surgery. Really hard to hear that, I just spent last week with Russ in New Mexico & as always we had a great time. He told me that his wife was actually looking forward to this fifth surgery so she could make another trip to Idaho.
I'm sure Russell would appreciate everyone's thoughts & prayers at this time. He is a Viet Nam veteran & was a long time Sheriff in Oklahoma & has been a good friend for many years now.

That is sad for sure. Of all the surgeries to die of complications from, back surgery! Condolences to family.

Wow, that's a true shame. Prayers for Russell and his family. May God give him peace and comfort in this trying time.

This is why I tell folks there's no one more supportive or compassionate than a bunch of 'gunnies'. Some on here I know 'face to face' and see from time to time. Yet, most of you I only know through this form, but when life throws one of us a curve ball you are 'on the spot' with prayers and support. Know that I appreciate each and every one of you.

Russ,,, I'm truly sorry to hear of this.
I've enjoyed your posts here & like you,, know many only via this board. While we've never met,, you can know that many of us here feel a kinship,, and as such, your loss as well.
