I know I'm going back in time here, but I'd love to see the holster configuration you use for carrying these two. Are they carried simultaneously?

So like I posted a few months ago a S&W model 60-10 was a grail gun of mine for years. The last local gun show after June, when I found my 60-10, was just last weekend. What do you think I find at this show? Another 60-10, just as great as the first, even cheaper! Actually the 2 are slightly different if you could believe that. The second 60-10 up front is about 2 years older before they switched to all MIM internals, this one actually has a forged trigger. The one in the back is MIM.

This thread is killing me. After buying a .480 Alaskan in July, on Saturday I bought a S&W 69 with a 2.75" barrel. Haven't gotten out to shoot them yet, but I hope to this weekend.

I shot both my .480 Alaskan and my S&W 69 snub for the first time today. I started out with the S&W with Hornady .44 special critical defense, they had little recoil and shot nice. I then fired Winchester white box 240 grain jsp Magnums, they had substantially more recoil as expected but also shot well. I also shot some Sig V crown .44 magnums and they shot about the same as the Winchester did. After all of that I got the .480 Ruger Alaskan out and fired 12 rounds of Hornady factory 325 grain XTP's. I already own a Bisley Super Blackhawk in .480 Ruger and based on my experience with it I was expecting substantial recoil. Surprisingly it felt like it had about the same level of felt recoil or very close to the S&W with 240 grain .44 Magnum ammo. I think that's in large part due to the much more cushioned grips it has, along with being heavier. All in all it was a fun day.

These are basically the same grips on the Ruger Alaskan. They can also be re profiled to your preference/needs with a belt sander, sanding drum on a dremel, or sanding block. Range buddy pulled out a 3 inch hard chromed pinned barrel S&W 25-5 yesterday. Magna Ported, bobbed hammer, custom front sight... first thought is someone has messed up an old S&W. Looked a little closer and the gun was not only Magna Ported but was marked "Magna Port Custom." It was a cha ching! moment for me.. I'll try to get some pictures...

Picked up a 2.5" Taurus all titanium 41 Mag snub (no longer in production). It is a delight to shoot (grips and ports) compared to the Charter Arms (top pic) even though it's 2 oz lighter than the CA (21 oz v 23 oz). Never had a Taurus before -- this one is a keeper -- can't believe how smooth the DA trigger is. Did a function and POI check with 230gr Underwood and 250gr Grizzly (1,263 fps and 1,169 fps from the CA - will chrono Taurus in future). Recoil is surprisingly moderate.
