Curious where the snub-nose fits into your world. Concealed carry, night stand, fishing hiking companion. What makes it good for the use you have found ? Also please include a pic of your favorite snub if you care to. Thanks !

The Smith and Wessons are my favorites. They make excellent gifts as well. Gave one each to my big brother, my big sister as well as my daughter and wife. I still have several but my favorite for now is my 351PD 22 magnum.

Here, my Dad-n-law has a Taurus 357 w/2 1/2" barrel. Closest thing to a snubby I have is the 3" Bulldog. Guess that qualifies ? Its a lawn mowing, dog walking, back pocket gun, in .44spec.. Gotta love that ! stevemb

Erich, My S&W snub has also given way to a Kahr PM9 as a pocket rocket. I still occasionally use the all stainless j-frame for ankle carry when on a long drive, simply because it's very comfortable in a good Galco ankle rig.

In my reply above, I was only considering small-frame snubs. This N-frame does full-time around-the-house duty and is my wife's favorite gun.

I carry the S&W 642 in and around my house because it is super lite and good fire power . My CCW gun is a Glock 23C .

Snubby's, still one of the breeds I'm still most attracted to. Here's some in the 38/357 group. Probably not 2 foot of barrel in the whole pile.
