I am partial to the 4.75" myself for Freedom Arms 83s.... Decided I needed a few 454s a 475 and then a bfr in 500 just for good measure. Like your style, Jeffer! Do the 4.75” .454 and .475 feel like two completely different beasts when you touch them off, or act pretty similarly due to the uniform launching platforms? And which one is wearing the reflex red dot sight in the photos? Do you hunt with it? Thanks!

Trust me, the 454 is more violent. I've experimented with both in matching 5-1/2" barrel bfr's. However both are nasty with top loads.

Yes the 454 (wearing the reflex) is a bit snappier. Yes they are all working guns for the field.
